Riley Matthews was living her best life across the world in London. Once they had arrived, they had found out Topanga was pregnant, and nine months later, Riley met her long awaited baby sister, Mia Penelope Matthews. Who was of course, named after the one and only Maya Hart. 

The Matthews family thrived in London, and Topanga made thousands, but they all knew that something important was missing to them. And that was their true home, in New York City. So finally after three years, they decided to move back. They chose to not tell anyone about their return, and make it a big surprise for them all. Riley had missed Maya dearly, and tried to talk to her everyday, but frequently Maya would have to hang up their calls because her "mom" always needed her to do something. 

Riley was enthusiastic as well to return to her first true love, Lucas Friar. She believed that he currently was not in a relationship with anyone at the moment because he missed her too much, and was waiting for her return. 

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world in NYC, Lucas Friar was busy taking care of his girlfriend and his two daughters who Riley had no clue about.

"Miss Hart" a familiar voice startled Maya from her nap on her desk in history class, a voice she had not heard in over three years

"Daddy, I think she is sleeping" A high pitched voice attempted to whisper

"Matthews? Riley?" Maya gasped as her head shot up at the sound of their voices "Is this some kind of dream or something?"

Grinning ear to ear Riley engulfed Maya into a tight hug that she never let go of "It's not a dream peaches, we are back and we are staying for good!" 

"I missed you Riles" Maya smiled sitting up in her desk, trying to comb down her hair with her hands 

"You girls can catch up later, I have to start teaching!" Cory smiled as well as he placed his name tag on his desk to show the students "I am Mr Matthews, your new History teacher while your teacher is out on maternity leave"

Going through the class roster he stopped at Lucas' name when he didn't hear a "here"

"Lucas Friar?" Cory repeated looking around the room, "anybody know where he is before I mark him absent?"

"He is sick" Maya was quick to answer. Quickly realizing her sound of eagerness she covered it up, "I mean thats what he texted me last night so" 

"Awe" Riley frowned in her seat "I really wanted to see him today, so we could talk about our relationship" 

"You do know that him and May-" Darby began speaking only to be interrupted by a loud coughing noise by Maya followed by a nasty stare to Darby. "Ooooh" Darby was quick to shut up, realizing that they had kept their secret from Riley all of these years

Later on at lunch Maya, Riley and Farkle spent the entire period catching up on what happened in the past three years, Farkle and Maya making sure to leave out the key points that her and Lucas were together.

"Hey Maya why is Lucas calling you?" Riley inquired looking at Mayas phone who kept buzzing with Lucas' name on the screen

Meanwhile, a few blocks down the street was a sleep deprived Lucas and a sick Camryn who lied on the couch watching another Disney movie 

It was only an hour after Lucas had given her her medicine, and Camryn was still whining about how she didn't feel good. So Lucas had taken her temperature which revealed to be 102º.

He quickly got up and called Maya, caring more about his daughters health then her getting in trouble for getting calls during school

"Lucas I'm in school what do you want" Maya said playfully rolling her eyes

"I know and I'm sorry but Cam's fever has skyrocketed and I gave her medicine only an hour ago. She's at 102º and I think I should bring her to the hospital. It could be the flu, and I don't want to take any chances" Lucas said, his voice still shakey

"One second" Maya said as she quickly got up and made her way into the hallway, so Riley wouldn't have to hear "Rileys back by the way, and you take Camryn to the hospital, Ill leave school now and ask Farkle to pick up Kendall since your moms on a plane right now and my parents are in freaking Hawaii, text me please any updates" Maya said quickly as she paced in circles outside the lunchroom

"Okay we are going to leave now, Ill text you everything they tell me, i love you" Lucas smiled over the phone trying to calm Maya down

"Love you too" Maya smiled quickly wiping the tear on her cheek as she hung up the phone

Making her way back into the lunchroom quickly she grabbed her bookbag and picked up her lunch

"Farkle I need you to do me a big favor, are you busy tonight?" Maya attempted to whisper to Farkle, but Riley being the nosy person person she is, she engaged in the conversation as usual

"I thought we were going to hang out tonight guys" Riley pouted as she crossed her arms like a toddler

"Im free why?" Farkle questioned

"I have a family emergency so I have to leave right now, Farkle can you pick up KK" Maya said standing up, ready to leave as soon as he answered

"Who's KK?" Riley was quick to ask

"My cousin who I was supposed to be babysitting" Maya lied "Farkle please"

"Yeah of course, text me though please" Farkle answered

"Thank you! Bye guys!" Maya said before bolting out of the lunchroom

"Whats up with her?" Riley asked after Maya had ran away "And why did Lucas have to call and tell her that she is having a family emergency"

"Im not sure Riley" Farkle lied "I guess she will tell us tomorrow or whenever she comes back"
