Smoke and the Wolf

Chapter 5

"Annabelle, would by any chance be yours?" She asked in a soft, polite tone.

Annabella looked at the doll that Azee handed towards her "Yes." She said reaching for it from behind Erik's leg

"Oh baby. I'm so sorry." Erik took him off his leg and up into his arms. Vlad looked at Azee for some kind of reassurance that it really was taken from her town. Vlad didn't care really about some problems but when children are involved, things hit home more. He knew he now had to start a search. Hoping it won't lead back to Erik's family.

Annabella held onto Erik and kept reaching for her doll

Erik helped grab the doll and gave it to Bella.

Annabella grabbed the doll from Erik and held it to her chest "tanks." She said looking up to Erik

He kissed her on her head. "No problem sweetie."

Azee pouted, "Hey I helped get that doll. Don't I get a thank you from the little lady?" She asked with a smile, teasing.

Annabella looked at Azee and looked down "Tanks." She said softly, she tightened her grip on Erik's arm.

Vlad called an emergency council meeting where he thought of what to do about the village. He invited Azee to talk about what she saw, and he even invited Thierry to join. Since he saw and knew he was going to be hanging around for a while. Erik didn't like those meetings as he found them dull, so he took Bella out shopping for new cloths and a bite to eat after.

Azee was at the meeting and repeated her findings to them.

"People how should respond?" Vlad was sitting in the ruling chair and looked over everyone, eyes starting to turn black. How could he let this happen he kept thinking over and over in his head?

Azee shifted a little nervously, she could see Vlad's eyes turning black. When the council decided she'll go over to him to talk and calm him down.

Thierry watched as Azee walked over to Vlad, so she could calm him down, his eyes flashed yellow, but he calmed himself down, the council didn't need a raging werewolf on their hands attack their prince. Annabella looked at the stores as they walked by, "Ooo dresses!!" She said happily pulled on Erik's arm.

"See one you like?" Erik was super excited to shop because in his opinion, there are some of the best dressmakers in the territory with in the castle walls. "It is decided. We will hunt for those responsible and their whole families, and we will eliminate them from this earth, hopefully that will show others we will not tolerate this type of action against us. We will go to war if need be." Vlad threw his fist down hard on the table and cracked it where the fist came down. He meant business.

Azee appeared by Vlad's side, whispering some calming words, before leaving to join Thierry.

Vladimir's eyes changed back to normal, but he wasn't going to change his mind about wiping the whole family out for their crime. When Azee was back to Thierry's side, Vlad nodded his head as a thanks for those words. He sent people out to look for those with the insignia. Bring back one or two to question but show no mercy.

Thierry looked down to Azee and attempted to put his arm around her waist.

"Yes yes." Annabella said happily, she was eyeing a purple dress in the shop.

Erik went into the shop and took the dress, so Bella could go try it on.

Annabella took the dress from Erik and put it on, she walked out of the room and did a spin, laughing as the dress flared out when she spun.

All he could do was stare wide-eyed. "You look stunning!" He bought the dresses and as they were leaving, the werewolf from the kitchen was walking by the door.
