Vinnie's point of view
I laughed a little as I sat on the sofa with Evan playing halo on the Xbox. I heard momma Jeff cooking in the kitchen, he always makes the best food. everyone honestly thought that Jeff was dead, he really isn't, he's alive and kicking... lucky for us because Evan and I don't know how to cook to save ourselves.
the wind outside howled and rattles the windows as rain poured down, the rain tapped the window harshly. It was only expected at this time of year for the weather to change but I didn't expect it to be drastic. Evan groaned as I won the match, I laughed and put my controller down.
"Better luck next time, right brother?"
He said with such defeat in his voice you'd think he just lost a war.
"Nah, it's not luck it is skill my small friend"
I messed up his hair before going to find momma Jeff.Momma Jeff stood at the hob cooking something in a pot.
"What are you cooking?"
"Pesto pasta"
I cringed at the thought of that sickly green past going anywhere near me, I desperately wanted pizza tonight. I stayed in the kitchen and chatted for a few minutes before hearing a crash from the living room, from where I had left Evan alone. I sprung into action faster than I realised, I ran to the living room and found the window by the TV smashed. Evan lay on the floor covered in blood, he looked confused, not scared or worried or even shocked, just plain confusion. static played on the TV, loud and buzzing.
"Dude what happened?"
He asked helping Evan to his feet and leading him to the old battered up sofa.
"I-I don't know"
He groaned as I sat him down on the sofa, vin rushed to get the medical kit and momma Jeff. Panic filled the air as they returned to the living room, Momma Jeff started checking over Evan for wounds of any sorts. I searched the room, the window was smashed and there was a piece of fabric caught on the sharp edges of the glass... leather, what does this mean?
After Evan was cleaned up, Momma Jeff helped him to the dinner table. I sat down next to him, still concerned after what happened... was it that fucking creepy rake thing again on was it something more sinister. After dinner Momma Jeff and I agreed that it would be for the best if we all went to bed early and tried to forget about what had happened in the living room. My head hit the soft coldness of my pillow, I sighed pulling my blankets over me. The room was sort of spinning, my head was pounding. I closed my eyes and tried to relax, there was a quiet soft sound. it sounded like... saxophone.
Vin bolted upright in his bed and looked around, he saw a shadowed figure in the corner of the room. The sax got louder the longer he looked at it, he started feeling sick, he closed his eyes and screamed as the sound got unbearable.
Momma Jeff busted into my room after hearing my screams. I was sweating, the colour had drained from my face. I looked at him with wide eyes, I was shaking like the leaves on the tree outside. My window was wide open, the shadow wasn't there anymore but in it's place was a piece of paper with a single symbol on it. Momma Jeff spent the night in my room, concerned since he thought I was talking nonsense. every time I closed my eyes, I heard that song... is this the new haunting... is this the villain in my life story?!
