Percabeth Proposal

Percy's POV

Annabeth and I walked toward the place were we helped our first god. That's right we were back at "Waterland" or better known as "Watrad". They fixed the place up and made it better. It has been very popular since they renamed the rides and made it less creepy-looking. As soon as we stepped inside the gates we burst out laughing. We recieved strange looks but we didn't care.

We were together and re-living memories that we loved to look back on and laugh about. It helped since the Giant War and our escape from Tartarus, it reminded us of better times and blocked out the bad ones. Anyways, we went on a bunch of rides and had a great time. Then we headed toward the ride that was were the real trouble started here all those years ago.

You guessed it, we're heading toward the "Tunnel of Love". We stepped into one of the carts and once we began to move Annabeth started looking around frantically. Deciding this was the time I pulled the little box out of my pocket that promised Annabeth's and my future together.

"Annabeth, turn around," I said in barley a whisper.

Annabeth's POV

I was searching for the mechanical spiders that I knew would come, but they didn't. I reminded myself that they fixed the park and that they were gone but I still shivered at the thought that they still may be lurking.

"Annabeth," I heard Percy say, "Turn around."

I turned my head and gasped. Percy held a little box with a simple yet elegent ring inside. The ring had a sea green jewel in the middle with a grey band. It was absolutly perfect. Tears started welling in my eyes as Percy began,

"Annabeth Chase, you have teased me every second that you have known me, but I loved every minute. You stole my heart so fast Hermes would be jealous," I laughed a little at this part," At the time I didn't know it then, but now I couln't be more sure that every minute of the rest of my life I will want to spend with you. So what I am getting at is, Annabeth Chase," I caught my breath," Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife."

I hesitated and he looked nervous. Since he was so tense I decided to let him suffer a little bit.

"Seaweed Brain," he gulped ," Why did you think I would say anything other than.....," I paused making become more and more nervous. Hey, someone has to make him suffer from time to time. I smirked and wrapped my arms around his neck and whispered in his ear,

".....yes," he relaxed instantly and we shared a kiss. He slid the ring onto my left hand and gave me a hug.

"I am now the happiest person on heart," he said quietly. I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah," I said," Second to me," I said and smirked while he pouted. I started to laugh and he soon joined in. We just sat there holding each other untill the end of the ride.

After the ride we walked to his car and drove to his house to annouce that soon I would be Annabeth Jackson.
