THE CAMPSITE

~ 01 ~

"I just came home from shopping." the blond girl tells her friend through the phone. "No one is here, so yeah I guess you can come over and see me to talk about the thing you wanted to discuss with me." She adds while she throws the plastic shopping bags and her purse on the couch in the living room. "I will drive to you house now Areum, see you in a bit." her friend says before hanging up the phone. A little sigh leaves Areum her mouth followed by a chuckle. "That girl is really weird." she mutters, Areum walks to the large kitchen where she grabs herself a glass of water. "But I am really curious about the 'big thing' she is going to tell me." Areum takes a sip of her glass water and puts it down again. "I think she would like a cup of tea" she mumbles to herself, the blond girl grabs the kettle and fills it with water before she puts in on the stove. She takes two teacups out of the cupboards and puts it on a tray together with some tea bags, sugar and fresh baked cookies. The girl taps her long polished nails against the kitchen counter while she waits for the kettle to be done boiling the water. The kettle makes a clicking noise and the boiling water makes loud noises. Areum turns off the stove and fills the two cups with the hot steamy water. She takes the tray to the living room and puts it down on the side table.
Areum jumps of the sudden sound of the doorbell, the house was so silent she didn't expect the sudden ringing of the doorbell. "She is here quite fast" whispers Areum to herself. The blonde haired girl walks to the front door with a smile on her face and she slowly turns the doorknob and opens it. Her smile slowly fades away as she sees it's not her best friend standing in front of her house, "J.Seph? BM? What are you guys doing here?" she asks confused, Areum opens the door a little more and takes a step aside so the guys can come in. "You can at least smile a little to welcome us." BM says while giving the girl a hug. "I'm sorry, I didn't expect you guys to come here if I am honest. But of course, I am very happy to see you." Areum puts on her beautiful smile again and also hugs the other boy. "Maybe we should have called before coming... But we didn't see you for a long time so we thought it would be nice to surprise you by coming to see you." J.Seph explains the two boys follow their friend to the living room where the smell of fresh baked cookies fills their noses. "Did you bake cookies?" BM asks, he grabs one of the cookies from the tray and puts it in his mouth before Areum can stop him. "BM! That's not for you!" she looks at him with an angry expression on her face, but he knows she is not really angry at him. "I didn't bake them, the cleaning lady did this morning." The bell rings again.
"Okay guys, my best friend is coming over to tell me something important. So behave and be nice to her." Areum turns to walk to the front door but stops before she leaves the living room to say a little more. "Oh, and if you want to drink something, you know where to find the refrigerator. And don't you dare to eat all the cookies!" she looks the boys in the eyes with a stern look before she leaves the living room to open the door for her best friend. "Mina there you are! Come in." Areum pulls her friend in a hug and then lets her in. "Uhm, some friends of mine came without me knowing. They just got here and it's rude to send them away. Hope you don't mind." Areum tells Mina while they are walking to the living room. "Oh it's okay, I wasn't planning on staying too long anyway, I mean you probably have some other things to do and so do I." Mina smiles, her eyes light up when she sees the tea. "I was craving for some tea! You really know me too well." Mina chuckles, she takes place on one of the chairs and grabs a cup of warm water where she puts in a tea bag of her favourite flavour. Areum grabs her shopping bags and puts them down on the floor before she takes place on the couch opposite her friend.
"Okay, what did you want to tell me?" Areum looks at her friend with a raised eyebrow, she grabs a cookie and takes a bite while she waits for her friend to tell her what she wanted to.
"Okay, so I've been to an auction. It was just for fun you know. I just wanted to see what they were selling a-" Mina immediately stops talking when she sees two boys coming from the kitchen, both of them having a glass of Cola in their hands. Areum turns to see what made her friend stop talking.
"Oh yeah, these are the friends I told you about..." she explains to her with a little smile on her lips, knowing what Mina would be thinking now. "I didn't know they were boys..." Mina mutters, her cheeks turning red. She isn't a shy girl but when boys show up she immediately turns into one. "We can wait outside if you prefer." one of the boys suggests, pointing at the door.
"Uh n-no, you guys don't need to do that." Mina says, her eyes focused on the floor with red cheeks.
The boys take a seat on the couch next to Areum who doesn't seem to mind. "Okay, but Mina, what did you say again?" Areum looks at her friend in the eyes. "I was at an auction." Mina reminds her. "What where you doing at an auction?" the boy with the brown hair and side cuts asks. "Just for fun BM. Don't interrupt her." Areum looks at the boys for a second before she gives Mina all her attention. "Okay, so you know how I was trying to find something like a job, something that I will enjoy for the rest of my life. And I think I found something." a proud smile appears on Mina her face. "You're not willing to work as a seller for an auction, do you?" Areum asks with a weird look on her face. "No of course not!" Mina says immediately. "They were selling a campsite at the auction, for not so much money. I bought it with the money that I saved for later a-" "Hold on a second. You just bought a campsite?!" Areum looks at her friend in shock.
"Well yeah, it looked really nice on the pictures and I think it will be nice to manage it."
