This is my first story I've written and I'll try and post new chapters weekly! Or maybe even daily dependent on the amount of time I have.

This will mostly be in the main character Bonnie's pov, but occasionally I'll have Zander's pov. (This may change)

Bonnie's pov

God dammit has my mom really forgotten to pick me up. Why does she do this to me, and today of all days. When it's fucking 100 degrees.

I hate walking home. Yeah it was only a mile, but it's so hot. I swear when I get home I'm giving her a piece of my mind.

Jeez why is it so quiet? It's only 4 in the afternoon. Usually this street is pretty busy. Weird. And where is everybody?

Just then a car appeared in the distance.

Why is it going so fast. And why is it headed in my direction!? I ran turned around and ran just as the car swerved into a lamp post right in front of me.

"Hey! What the hell buddy?! You could've-"

"You need to get out here! Find shelter! I'll be turning soon! You need to run!"

"What are you talking about?"

I looked at his arm which looked like someone bit a chunk out of. And there was this weird black substance oozing from the wound.

"I've been bit! Run while you can!"

"Hey.. What are you talking-"

Just then this black liquid started spilling out of his mouth. The last words he said to me were,"It's happening, run!!!"

I turned around and ran as fast as I've ever ran to my house. I glanced back and saw him coming out of his car. Looking straight at me.

There's my street. Just a little further. Keep. Running. I glanced back again and the man started running after me, but it looked nothing like the guy I saw moments before. There was a lot of distance in between us, but even from so far away he didn't look human.

There's my house. I grabbed my keys out of my pocket and opened the door. But I wouldn't need to. It was already open.

"MOM IM-" I was cut off. My house was a mess. There was blood. Everywhere. On our couch. On the walls. On the windows. Every piece of furniture had blood on it. So. Much. Blood.

"M-mom.. B-Braden.. Are you guys there? Answer me please." I looked around the room, and in the corner I saw movement.

"Mom? Is-is that you?"

It was dark and all I could see was the silhouette of a person, but as it slowly came into sight I could tell that whatever it was, It was no longer my mother.

I could tell it was her. She has on her favorite floral dress but you could barely tell because it was coated in blood and ripped to shreds. There were wounds all along her body. Her hair was in tangles and sticking to the blood on her face. And her skin was so pale. She was grinning and staring at me. Its eyes weren't hers. They weren't the beautiful ocean blue eyes she once had. They were dark, almost black.

Then she launched at me. I screamed and dove into out kitchen. Where are our knives I can use that to fend it off-but my thought was cut short and it was on top of me. It was so strong. I could barely hold it back with my arms.

"Mom! Please! It's me! Bonnie! Your daughter!" I screamed at her as I was forced onto the table behind me.

I looked for anything that I could use against it. Just then in the corner of my eye I spotted a plate.

I grabbed it and smashed it into its head and was able to throw it off of me. I got up as fast as I could and darted to the knives.

I grabbed the largest one I could find, but as I looked at her, I mean it, I couldn't do it.

But then it looked at me. And that wasn't my mom.

Oh god, I'm so sorry mom. Please forgive me.

I grabbed another plate and smashed it into its face and I launched the knife into its throat. But blood didn't come out.

Instead it was this black substance. My blood ran cold. It was the same substance the man in the car had oozing out of his arm and that came out of his mouth.

Is this that black stuff causing them to turn into whatever mom is now? What's happening? And where the hell is my brother?
