Hahaha here's something a little light-hearted!
Hope you enjoy it!

Yuu and Mika stood in the balcony in silence, with the only sound being from the crickets. The latter of the two boys was staring into the dark, murky pond. Nothing much down there. Why he was looking down there, Mika wasn't sure. The only signs that there was even a pond at the moment were the bugs that buzzed and lit up the place.
"Y'know, Mika. It feels like I haven't looked at the moon like this in a while." Mika finally looked up at Yuu's face. Yuu was reminiscing again, which Mika admittedly did every now and then as well.
Yuu continued. "Remember that field trip we both went to in third grade? Y'know, the one when we went into the woods?"
Mika raised an eyebrow. "The one where you were nearly eaten alive by the teacher after you ate all the marshmallows and--
"Care to refrain from the minor details, Mr. Mikaela Hyakuya?"
Mika rolled his eyes. "I bet she's still traumatized by the marshmallow vomit you left behind in her frying pan." Honestly, those were hardly minor details.
Yuu could only cough aloud.
"It seems you have a memory of a god, Mika, but seriously, you better not tell anyone that. I swear it'll keep both you and me happy during this hour."
"Don't worry. It's already way too embarrassing of an idea for me to tell other people about the fact that I'm friends with a certain someone who throws up in people's--
"Mika! That was years ago! And it was a one time thing!"
Mika crossed his arms. "Sure."
He heard a grunt from Yuu in response.
For a brief moment, an airplane flew by above their heads. Its wings were still, yet flying freely in the night sky in the direction both Yuu and Mika were staring out at.
"Anyway, was there something else you were going to talk about?"
"Oh yeah. Nearly forgot." Yuu took a deep breath.
Oh? What's got him nervous? Mika wondered.
"When we were sitting outside of our tent after all the kids were sleeping, we counted the number of sticks on the ground."
"And the leaves." Mika added.
"Which was boring as hell, now that I think about it."
"No shit."
"Why couldn't we have just counted the stars instead?"
"Good question," Mika raised a brow at Yuu's direction. "I'm pretty sure it would've been ten times more romantic if we just--
Yuu was looking with wide-eyes at him.
Huh? What's with Yuu's—
Oh.
Did I just imply my feelings to him just now?
Oh no.. What if—
But to Mika's surprise, Yuu was suddenly grinning at him in the most familiar, yet still breath-taking manner.
God, Mika still loved that grin of his.
Okay, maybe it was just my imagination. Let's just--
All of a sudden, Yuu planted a kiss on Mika's lips.
Well.
That was unexpected.
Mika felt their noses brush against each other's momentarily before Yuu pulled away. Two seconds later, Mika found himself rapidly blinking, still trying to process what just happened.
A kiss?
A kiss.
That was definitely a kiss.
Did he..
Did he just give me a peck just now?
Yuu still had that huge, satisfied grin on his face.
Really, Yuu is such an amazing person.
Mika suddenly had an urge to make a strange request.
"Yuu, punch me."
Yuu raised a brow.
"Is this the beginning of something kinky?" Yuu whispered.
Mika punched Yuu in the arm.
"Ow! Hey, wasn't I supposed to do the punching?"
Mika sighed. "What I mean is I'm 99% sure this is a dream."
It has to be.
"This night is a dream. This balcony is a dream. That plant in the corner over there is a dream. You even possibly liking me romantically is a dream. I want to wake up before I get disappointed with reality even more considering how freaking amazing this dream is."
To Mika's surprise, Yuu bursted out laughing.
"Mika, you're not freakin' dreaming. And I don't just possibly like you. I really like you. Here. I'll prove you're wide awake."
Yuu proceeded to pinch Mika's cheek, an unamused expression plastered on the latter boy's face. But Mika quickly became flustered when Yuu's palm simply rested on his cheek.
"Honestly, you blondie, I was gonna confess first, but looks like I'm always gonna have to lose to you."
Really, this person in front of him was truly like a part of a species of another world.
--
"He's your boyfriend now?" Kimizuki raised a brow, watching over Mika's shoulder as Yuu, smiling back at them from afar, grabbed the mug from the table to take a sip, only to find pencils spilling out to his face.
Mika sighed, feeling no need to look back. "Yep."
"I never thought I would have to say this to anyone, but," Mitsuba said, "I feel sorry for you, having to date someone like him," watching the man-child clean up the pencils while waving ecstatically at their direction.
The blond smiled. "Well, Yuu has always been a bit of an idiot... but he's a good type of idiot. I don't mind."
"Hey, who're ya callin' an idiot?!" Yuu called out from afar.
Mika shrugged. "And he has good ears at the weirdest times."
