Chp. 1 || Another Day

Kenzie's Pov
I woke up and got ready for the day, I did my morning routine, usually wear a wool sweater, black leggings my hair in a ponytail w side bangs, and my glasses. I hate school. I mean the work is easy but I get bullied.. even by Johnny Orlando. He's the worst. I live w my mom only bc my dad took my sister and left us when I was around 5, I'm used to being alone, I lack a lot of communication and socializing it sucks. It was about 7:30 and school starts at 8. I take the subway which takes 20 mins, then a 10 min walk to school. I know how to drive, but I'm just too poor to buy my own car. I walk downstairs say goodbye to my mom, grabbed an apple, and left to school.
-Skip to school-
I walked in and everyone stared at me, I quickly walked to my locker and grabbed my books. I turned around and Johnny startled me. Oh no..
K: Johnny, hi..
J: Weird nerd why are you so ugly?
K: I-
J: Did I say speak?!
K: No, but I mean you asked a question, I'm supposed to answer.
J: Shut up you bitch!
K: I'm not a fucking bitch asshole, you're a spoiled brat. Who doesn't love anything else but himself! If anyone's the bitch here, it would be you!
Yes I do talk back and stand up for myself, but I end up getting beat up..
J: You deserve punishment.
Here it comes I feel it. This feeling sucks. I hate Johnny. Yes he's hot and the most gorgeous guy out there but he's the literal meaning of the devil and an asshole. He's so rude. He's the most richest, and he's not even thankful. All he does is waste his money, uses it for the most stupidest things, and he brags about it. While I'm over here w only my mom, and the most smallest house ever. It's not even two floors. It's just one. While he has his whole family w him, both of his parents, and sibling. Which I still haven't figured out who. Their house must be gigantic, I heard there are 4 floors and a huge basement. He's so lucky and he doesn't appreciate a thing. Then he came closer to me, w an evil smirk on his face. His hand in a fist, and he had the most stern face and position ever.
K: No no no no no..
I was too late. He punched me in the stomach, slapped me twice, and kicked my leg.. he was going to punch me but someone yelled at him and he walked away. I got up, but I was too sore..
??: let me help you.
It was a girl and she helped me up.
K: thanks.. I'm sorry.. you didn't have to help, you can leave so you don't get in trouble bc you're talking to me.
I look down.
??: what are you talking about? I'm Lauren. Lauren Orlando.
K: Y-your Johnny's sister?!
L: yep.. surprise.
K: I-I
L: you prob don't wanna talk to me bc of my brother.. that's f-fine..
She was about to walk away when I stopped her.
K: no it's fine.. I pm just rly surprised that you're his sister, but yet you're so nice.
L: *laughs* yea, well he's nice when you get to know the real him. His gf broke up w him and left the school, that's why he's in a bad mood.
K: that explains..
I look at my bruises and touch my cheek that stings bc he slapped me.
L: I-I'm so so sorry about him.. I hate him.
K: it's okay.. I'm used to it. I mean everyone hates me, bc I'm fat, ugly, weird, and a nerd.. *sighs*
L: no no nooo.. you're a wonderful and beautiful girl, if they can't see that, then idk how they can ever look at themselves..
K: thank you *smiles*
L: friends?
K: um..
L: it's fine if you don't wan-
K: no, it's just I've never had a friend.. plus I lack communication and socializing..
L: I'll help you!
K: okay *smiles* then friends.
L: great!
The rest of the school day went by fast, Lauren spent the day w me and I was so happy. She's an amazing girl, I'm glad she's my friend. Or may I say bff! She even left her popular friends just for me, how did I get so fucking lucky?! God must love me today, or maybe after the Johnny thing, but oh well!
