only three days

I was sitting anxiously at the table, excited for my seventeenth birthday in only three days, in only three days I will find my mate or at least be connected to them if they weren't where I was. in only three days I will find my other half

I finished my breakfast and sped out the door shouting a quick bye to my parents.

I ran down the street and took a right turn before my school building was in view, the front parking lot littered with students from all grades. I ran up the stairs straight to my locker where my friend Ethan was currently taking out some books.

"hay Ethan" I called out

"hmm?, Oh hay Gabrielle" he replied giving my a quick wave.

"you excited?"

"yes, why wouldn't I be?"

"well I'm just asking" he shrugged

I quickly took out my books for the first two periods.

"hay what do we have first?" Ethan asked.

surprisingly we have almost every subject together, except for two.

"mate ed"

"gahhh, I hate mate ed" he wined

mate ed was just like sex ed, but it also included information on mating for all supernatural creatures and what not, though only the supernatural take it.

everyone knows of supernatural creatures, even the humans. it's said that humans use to have supernatural once but lost that privilege when they ate the grand mages sacred fruit, as punishment they were stripped of their power and banished thus having the chance of finding there mate slimed to nothing.

the first bell goes and Ethan and I walk to first period.

"good morning class" the teacher, mister Main announced. He is a fae and also three hundred years old, but you would never tell because of his dark black waist long hair that has no hint of grey, his violet eyes and porcelain skin that is free of any wrinkles, not to mention his toned body that has men and women drooling over it.

"stupid fae" I mumble under my breath.

"Gabrielle, I would like for you to keep your jealous inquiries to yourself"

damn them and their hearing I cursed in my head.

"yes we have exceptional hearing now please take a seat, your blocking the door way" he remarked wit a mock grin

I quickly went to my seat in the middle of the class next to Ethan.

"dude, don't mess with the fae"

"you think I don't know that" I said as I took out book.

"today class we will be talking about werewolves"

a few groans went through out the class from a few werewolves that had already found there mate.

"as you all know, werewolves have one of the most painful mating processes, both the male and the female will go into heat within a week of their seventeenth birthday"

"Gabrielle" somebody coughed.

"Layin, would you like tell everyone of your experiences"

Layin blushed a deep red as some of the other students whistled. it was a well know fact that Layin who is a vampire, is mate to one of the younger school teachers and the two of them nearly had sex in the middle of the hallway upon seeing each other. Miss Wayne, his mate took an extended leave after that, too embarrassed to continue teaching for a while.
