Black and white roses
Filled my garden
Rocky grounds from which they grew
Dry-drier than sand from the deserts
Thorns of thy acursed flowers
Pricked more than just skin
They reached to the heart.

I never knew what daybreak looked like
I was trapped in my own lifeless life
Overpopulated in this lonely world.

But you,
You printed a smile on my face
You made my sun shine bright in my sky
You filled my world with color.

You healed the wounds that swelled on my heart
You showed me that life can be alright
You gave me a love I had never felt
And you,
Watered my world back to life...
