How do you put pain into words
It's a tricky question overall but it really depends what kind of pain you're going through
Whether it's something you feel shouldn't pain you because it's selfish
Like someone simply not loving you back
Or it's something that you have no control over
Like trying to hold on to a car driving off without you
But once the flaming lava clashes with the dirty green sea
Our pain as we know it
We'll erupt into complete nothingness
No one will be here to remember our stories
Or teach them to people we could have loved
But in the meantime
The music you listen to will sound rehearsed
Like you're watching the same scene in an old movie for the 12th time
And your hair won't feel as soft as it used to
Like when you used to stroke it like it would last forever
And you can't forget the internal disappointments
Because a person who understands
Will never be understood
And then they get sick and suddenly you're cleaning it up
Yourself up in a hospital
Where skipping a day of taking your pills
Isn't exceptional
And close candles you could light every night
Will be back at home untouched for months
You can run from the pain
But eventually the lava will catch up
