Finally escaping the hospital with only one needle mark in my wrist, instead of the three I had last time. I see a little boy, he looked to be around nine years old. He was talking to himself, just like I do. I grip onto the teddy bear I carry everywhere with me. He was pacing back and forth trying to reason with whatever the voice was trying to tell him. Then he started to yell- that's when I knew I had to get out. He seemed to get more violent the more he talked.

The years of middle school went on and on. I felt so trapped, like I had no one to run to. It felt like I was losing grip on reality. The voices were slowly taking over and I couldn't go back. Not even Woojin could pull him out of it
It wasn't until he got a new doctor, that's when everything started to look up.
for now at least

"You don't have to talk if you don't want to." He said with what looked like to be a genuine smile on his face. I sat there and picked at my nails, a bad habit I had developed since I couldn't carry my teddy bear around with me anymore. I'm fourteen I need to grow up finally."How about-" he stops for a second. "Just your name? You can call me BamBam." I nod and look up at him.
"Uh," I pause for a second could I really trust him? I give in not wanting to make him angry. "Chris- Bang C-Chan..." I get out and lose eye contact with him.
"It's nice to meet you Chan." He smiles again. "According to your records you're fourteen, correct?" He adjusts the papers in front of him.
"Yeah..." I mumble. "What do you want with me- I'm not taking anymore pills..." I feel a few tears start to roll down my cheeks.
"Shh... don't cry it's ok- you're going to be taking less pills and I have something that I think will help you." He pulls out a box with a lock and a small set of keys.
"What is that?" I eye the box suspiciously as he places it on the table, sliding it closer to me.
"It's, a diary with password and locks protecting it. Here you can write down anything you're thinking or what the voices are saying to you. Think of it as an escape." He smiles. "And if you're worried about anyone else finding out about it," he pauses and places a teddy bear with a zipper in the back and places the box inside. "You can hide it in the bear, no one will assume a thing." He hands me the bear and I examine it.
"Thank you..." I say quietly I place the box inside the bear. I feel at ease for a little while, maybe this will help, for now.
My mother comes to pick me up and eyes the bear but doesn't say anything, she talks to BamBam for a few minutes. While walking out I see the boy from last time. He looks terrified, I give him a reassuring look and then gesture towards the bear. He doesn't look back at me and walks into BamBam's office.
After an awkward car ride home I head straight into my room and lock the door then I open up the bear unlocking the box then the book itself.
