Blue Deception

Chapter 4

Juan's POV

Juan looked at his wrist watch, it was almost 8 at least he wasn't that late. The last time his father called and wanted to meet with him it did not end well except for his 21st surprise birthday party in which he bought me an entire ranch all because I wanted a horse.

Ever since I broke ties with him I've never felt more alive living with my father had been a complete hell. I did everything he wanted me to do, if I had not realized what a fool he had made of me, a play toy, God knows where I would have been now.
After 5 years of struggle, me getting here is a blessing and am not about to let my father ruin the only one thing I have achieved by my own, not that I hadn't done anything, the past years has been the most wonderful years not working with my George.

Juan was still thinking when he realized he had been standing at the same place for 2 minutes now. He looked around to see if anyone was coming when he realized the woman standing in front of him was taking her time pressing the elevator door, he leaned in and pressed the button when she jotted and hit my nose.

"Oh my God am so sorry i didn't know you were so close" she said

"I thought maybe you were waiting for someone to push the button you took a lot of time staring at it".

We both entered the elevator when she pushed my hands away from my face.

"Let me see that" she said

I was about to tell her that it was okay and that I'll be fine but when I looked at her, she was so close I couldn't get the words out of my mouth instead I just stared at her emerald eyes. I've never seen such eyes in my life, they were like two big crystals. I couldn't stop myself from staring, it was like I was drowning and paralysed at the same time. She spoke but I couldn't make out the words.

"Alright?...uhm sir....excuse me are you okay?..."

What?" I asked after a while.

"I said its not broken" she said

"Oh thanks am sure I'll be fine"i said as the elevator door opened and we both came out at the same time.

"After you" i said and she came out and we both separated going in different directions.

When i was sitted at the conference table I couldn't help but wonder what went through my had when I saw I've never reacted that way with anyone before, it has just never happened before well usually its the ladies gulling at me definitely not the other way round. I wonder if she works here.

I didn't even notice the other people sited around me. I look at my right and my cousin Fernando is here, not seen him since last year's new years Eve at aunty Margaret's Dinner party. He looks at me and I nod and he nods back, we've never really had that type of brother relationship but that's just how it is with my family they'll only surprise you when you're stranded in the middle of no where and they all just start appearing out if nowhere and start to wonder why you don't have the kind of relationship where you'd just go out and have some beers or something, talk about women and that staff. At one point I blamed it all on my father he's the one who always thought of himself superior to all the other family members of course he was more rich but he never really got to know the real importance of family not even when my mother could change he just stayed as coldblooded as he is.

The board meeting was about to start and I was getting extremely impatient that's one thing I got from my father I've never really liked waiting not even on my birthdays and mother planned a surprise party I would always find my way I the kitchen just to ask my mother if the party was beginning soon. I was slammed out of my thoughts when everyone stood, my guess was my father is here...
