Letting it All Out

Kendall's POV

I think I'm going to be sick! I hate rides, but I didn't want to be left out. I didn't want to sit alone waiting for everyone to be done. So I went on anyway.

"I-I gotta find a bathroom," I say warily.

"Ok come on let's go," Brooke says as she turns my shoulders around and I spot a bathroom close by. Brooke grabs my hand and we bust in.

I'm not gonna share what happened in there, but let's just say I threw up. A lot.

I walk out of the stall and wash my hands and face off and rinse my mouth. Brooke gives me an I-know-how-bad-you-feel-and-I'm-sorry look and we walk out, only to find the others have disappeared.

"They must have gone on another ride," I offer.

"That was so rude of them! They so should have waited," Brooke exclaims. I assure her that's it's fine.

We find the rest of them getting off the Cyclone, when I feel my stomach rumble. Not again! I look around frantically for a bathroom, but all I can spot is a trashcan that I rush over to. Brooke is the only one who even glances my way.

I mosey back over to them. "Hey guys. I think I'm ready to go home."

Chloe looks uneasy. "Can we just go on a couple more rides?" A chorus of "yeahs" follow.
* * *
They all go on at least 8 more rides, despite saying the would only go on a few. And I had to hold all their stuff. Including Amy's stupid hermit crab. Whatever. At least now we can head home.

They get off their last ride and I hand all thee junk back, including a pink stuffed donut pillow Maddie made Josh win for her.

"Are you guys ready to go now. My stomach hurts and I feel like crap," I plead.

Most of them halfheartedly agree.

Until Maddie says, "Why should you get to decide when we go home? I want to stay longer, and you can't make me go with you! It's not fair to the rest of us!"

She's being really mean about this, but since she's my best friend I'll try to reason with her.

"Maddie, I really am not feeling good. I have waited a long time for everyone to be ready to go, longer than you said you would take. I don't think it's fair for you to get to stay longer. I would go by myself, but our parents said we had to stay close together at all times," I say in a steady voice.

"Oh, get over yourself! No one wants to go home! We came here to have fun and we want to stay. Right Joshie?" She looks up at Josh with innocent eyes.

"Well, uh, um, well I think it's not fair to Kendall. We should just head home"

She sighs dramatically. "Well, if that's what you want, Joshiepoo" she glares at me as we walks with our backs to the blinking lights of the rides.
