ABOUT EVE

I was sitting on top of my room casement window,with a headphone listening to my favorite music,watching the sun as it glow from the sky,it was so beautiful and it led me back to a memory of my dad.

Flashback,
me and my dad walking on the beach,"wow dad look,..it's so beautiful",I said pointing at the sunset,he squatted and said,"eve you know what?","what" I asked "you see that sun" he said pointing at it, "yeah" I said eyes glittering with curiosity,"well you are just as beautiful as the sun and always remember that okay", he said as he kissed my forehead, " okay" I said as I smiled,"come on ,let's go home"he said holding my little hand as we walked away.
End of flashback.

me and my dad were best buddies, he was the best friend i ever had and probably the only one ,but he died in a car accident and since then my life only became worse but I still had my mom. suddenly my headphone was pulled away from my ear, it was my mom,

"I was calling you from down stairs but you didn't answer, so I got worried and decided to check on you, is everything okay." She asked looking worried,

"yeah everything is alright I could not hear you when you called,sorry." I said as I got down from the window,"dinner is ready",we walked down the stairs,

there was a defining silence in the room and I felt uncomfortable because usually we talked about funny stuff,but I could tell by my mom's face she wanted to say something but she was feeling nervous,

"mom what's wrong, you look lost and worried",I said with a questioning look on my face,

".....em,.....eve I know how hard this is gonna be for you but I am soo sorry,I feel terrible about moving, and I know how this place matters to you and all the memories you've kept, but I have no choice eve we have to move on,I promise everything is gonna be okay and I assure you that......",

" mom",I caught her off,

"I understand okay, stop worrying so much", I held her hand and smiled at her,

"I promise once we move to newyork we won't have to move again ",she smiled back at me.

Time skips.

I wore my black pajamas and sat by my window looking at stars,with my hands wrapped around my knees," oh dad I miss you so much",I said as tears rolled down my eyes,"I know, I do too",

my mom said as she sat beside me,"your dad was a great man,I remember how he made me laugh all the time he was so cheerful and funny,I loved him so much, and he laughs at serious moments and that made me happy even when I was angry but now........he's gone",she said her eyes were pale.

I hugged her,"I love you mom"I said looking up at her,"I love you too honey",she said and kissed me on my forehead,

"good night"she said as she turned off the lights,"good night mom",

I said as I let out a sight,"good night dad",I closed my eyes as I let the dizziness carry me away.
