ABOUT EVE

new journey

We arrived at the airport and soon we were in the airplane,it wasn't long before the plane took off,

I was sitting next to my mom and behind us,was a boy and his parents, I watched as his father tickled and how he laughed at the pleasant emotion he was feeling,

I was already wishing it was me,I smiled at my thought as I wore my headphone and listened to my music,"are you okay",my mom asked,

"yeah,I'm alright"I said as I Flashed her a smile, "are you nervous" she asked,while smiling excitedly,"no,are you" I said,

"well,I am a bit,oh I can't wait to meet our new neighbours", she said as she held my hand,and then she gave me this, you are my everything look and it made me happy, "everything is going to workout for us I know it", she said and leaned back to her seat.

Soon we arrived at the airport, on reaching there,we saw a woman holding up a sign that says the Collins written boldly with black marker,

she wore a flay skirt that stopped just blow her knee and short sleeved blouse and topped it with a brown over coat,she wore brown pumps,her hair was tied in a bun,she was a very beautiful woman she was in her early forties from the look on her face.

" hi,nice to meet you",my mom said to her as they hugged each other,"hi,how are you,welcome to new York"she said smiling "hi", I said softly " hi"she replied,"I am Mrs Caroline,your new neighbour,and I guess you must be eve right",

"Yeah,eve Collins" I said feeling nervous all the sudden,we got into a minivan and Mrs Caroline started driving,

"me and your mom use to be best friends since from highschool till college, and were still best friends", I smiled

"you must have known a lot about each other" I said looking out the window,"yeah, we were just like sisters",they started a conversation and all I did was look out the window feeling left out,

"you must be missing your friends back at Chicago",she said sounding sad,

"well I will if I had any"

there was silence in the car,and I knew why,she decided to keep her thoughts to her self because she didn't want the conversation to get awkward,

and honesty I respect that decision because I didn't want to talk about it either, and I knew she understood,"hey look were here" my mom said as we parked in driveway,

The house was beautiful it was a duplex, "home sweet home", my mom said smiling at me and I smiled back," thanks a lot Caroline, I'll see you around",my mom said to Mrs Caroline

"OK no problem,have a nice day,bye eve", she said smiling," bye Mrs Caroline I said as I smiled back

"Co'mon", my mom said,we packed our bags and boxes as we headed towards the beautiful house

" I think I'm gonna like it here",I mumbled to my self.
