Every Heart

"Are you happy?"

His voice rang in my head as I lay on my bed. I was leaving tomorrow night for Germany. Tamaki still didn't know.... none of the host club did. Sighing, I walked over to my window. I looked at Nemo, thinking of the carnival and the ferris wheel. I hugged it, smiling at the memory.

"Kathryn?" Tamaki asked, opening the door to see me awake.

"Sorry, I couldn't sleep."I smiled.

"I can see that..."he smiled. "You look nervous.... wanna tell your older brother what's wrong?"

"....do you miss mom?"I asked.

"... yes. But as long as she well and happy.... I'm okay with it. I just want her to be happy.... but I'm sure we'll meet again soon. All of us together." he smiled. My heart dropped.

"What if you could see her now?"I asked.

"What's wrong? Homesick?"

".. something like that."I told him.

"Come here."He said, pulling me into a hug. "No matter where we are in the world.... we'll always be family. Tougher or apart. Besides, along the way, we've make a bigger family, like the host club."

".... the host club."I mumbled. My eyes beginning to water."....Tamaki, your such an idiot."He gave me a surprised look, but smiled as he saw my tears, pulling me closer. "But..... your very kind."I smiled.

"What!?"Grandmother yelled.

"I will not marry Sora Shigeru. I want my family to prosper, but I do not want to give up everything I've found...."

"Insolent child...."she said, slapping me.

"Pack your bags. Your going back to your worthless mother-"

"She is not worthless! And i'm not going back. I'm staying with my brother and father and my friends."

Let me be selfish.... even if for a moment....! Please!

"Fine. I'll just have to make some arrangements.... you'll regret this choice."

"Regret or not....I followed what I thought was right. Good day." I said, leaving.

Little did I know...trouble was around the corner....

"So Sora just quit school like that?" Haruhi asked.

"Yeah, he wanted to explore Germany and see the company."

"You've never been to Germany, have you Haruhi?"

"What would you know?"

"Thanks to Kyouya, a lot."

"What?!"

As they bickered, Kaoru turned to me.

"We weren't going out....I was just in a bad predicament.... but I did mean what I said."I told him as he grinned.

"So, we on the same page?" He smiled.

"Yup."I smiled back.

"That's good to hear..."

I smiled, then thought about how I would tell Tamaki and everyone.
