"Do you have any fucking idea how to even find your staff?" Bakugo snapped, after walking down the forest for a few minutes, already impatient.Ochako jolted up, "Um, I actually have no idea.."
"Oh my fucking god." Bakugo rolls his eyes and began to walk a little faster, annoyed with her.
She walks faster, trying to keep up with Bakugo and tries to reassure him. "That's why I asked if you wanted to come with me! I thought... maybe you'd have some ideas." She says while scratching the back of her neck, kindly smiling.
"Ugh, why did I even agree to do this shit." Bakugo mumbles under his breath, kicking the stones along the pathway.
Ochako felt awful, not knowing what to do. She gazed down towards her feet until she thought of an idea. "I know!" She exclaimed.
Bakugo got startled and stared at Ochako annoyingly, "Well, what the fuck is it then?"
"I remember chasing the beast until I lost sight of it. So, if I use a spell to show my memories from that day, maybe we can see where it went from the surroundings." She explains, while taking out her temporary staff.
"Since when did you get another staff?" Bakugo scoffed.
"Deku gave this to me! It's only temporary so—"
"Shut up about Deku already, I don't actually give a shit, you know that right?" Bakugo turns away and backs up so there's room for the staff to broadcast her memories. "Start your stupid spell already."
He hated whenever she would talk about stupid Deku. This just gives him more of a reason to kill his ass someday.
Ochako started to feel down and began to say her spell. Her staff started to glow and slowly broadcast the memories from that day. They both saw herself chasing the beast, Bakugo focusing on the surroundings to see where the beast may be heading off to. Ochako doesn't follow the beast for long, and got lost quickly.
"Wow, that was the worst fucking chase I've ever seen in my entire life. You were barely after that thing." Bakugo scolded. "You need to work on your fucking endurance, Round-face."
Ochako shyly looks down and turns off the spell and her staff. "I tried I guess?"
"Fucking try harder next time then."
There was a negative, silent atmosphere for a little bit, until Bakugo finally breaks the stillness with a loud sigh. "I fucking know those specific trees around where you lost the beast. There's probably a stupid ass hideout he ran to around there."
Ochako's eyes lit up a little bit, "Really? So you know where that area is then?" She asks kindly.
Bakugo had a slight light pink flush on his cheeks and looked away, "Yep, this way I guess." He says as he points off to a certain direction.
"Perfect!" Ochako jumps as she starts to skip ahead.
Bakugo starts to walk faster, almost to a jog, trying to keep up with her annoying skipping. "God damnit, slow the fuck down already, Round-face."
After some time, they finally reached the familiar trees Bakugo saw in the broadcast from Ochako's staff. "Here they are." Bakugo announces.
Ochako takes a look around, "Alright, I guess we should see if there's any tracks or obvious signs of a hideout for the beasts perhaps." Ochako explains.
They both start walking around and began to split up. Ochako sees a giant pile of dirt and dead trees on the ground, and starts to walk towards it. "Could this be—" Her voice cuts off and screams. "Bakugo!" She is suddenly taken inside the dead trees and dragged underground.
Bakugo immediately turns around with his eyes widened and swipes out his sword. "What the fuck?!" He runs towards the place he thought she was just at, but she's no longer there.
"Ochako?!"
