Falling

•Chapter one•

[charity's POV]
As i stepped out of the car I saw a tall building facing me, I dropped my bags on the floor and fixed my ponytail. I picked up my bags and made my way in I saw a tall, bald man with a big grin on his face waiting for me , as he gestured me into the office I felt happy and relieved as it didn't look like the other places I had been to.

"So charity" the man said in a nice voice and a big smile on his face "I'm mike and this is may-li" he gestures to a women sitting on the top of the desk, she had long raven coloured hair. After talking to them i walked into the main room, I saw a boy and a girl cuddling next to eachother, as I walked over they both sat up looking at me, "hey I'm Jody and this is Tyler" she shouted as the tv was at full volume. After a while I settled in. Mike walked in a called a meeting, "so guys" he exclaimed to everyone in the room, "we have a new resident at elm tree, meet charity", as he pointed at me all the eyes followed, "Hey" I said I'm a shy voice, I look down at my feet because I'm used to people ignoring me but I started to here people greeting me one by one, I felt welcomed, but there was this one girl, she just sat in the corner and stared at me.

He walks over to the girl in the corner and places a hand on her shoulder "Charity you will be sharing a room with Electra" he says smiling ,the girl who I now know as Electra scowls at me. As I walk upstairs to the room I feel a slight coldness, like the temperature dropped by 10 degrees, I get closer and I see blue walls with yellow lighting bolts coming off the wall, I clench my bag tight, take a deep breath and walk in.

"Hey I'm..." before I can finish she interrupts " charity, yeah I know" she says and then looks back down at her book. After unpacking all my stuff and sat on my bed, whilst scrolling through my phone Electra gets up and walks over, putting her pointing finger in my chest "don't touch any of my stuff" she hisses at me whilst rolling her eyes and walking away.
~20 minuets later~

"DINNER" may-li screamed from the bottom of the stairs, I get up and make my way down, whilst walking a bunch of children hurdled down the stairs like they were a bunch of animals who haven't been fed in days.i arrive downstairs and I walk into the dining room to see one big family waiting for dinner, it's not like the other places I went to, everyone just got on with life but their like one big family. I sit down and they dish up dinner "so charity how long have you been in care" a raven haired girl said in a cheery voice, " carman you can't ask someone that" Jody says as she punches her in the arm "no it's fine she can ask, I've been in care since I was 3" I say whilst giving a slight smile.

After dinner I go upstairs and have a walk around, tee invites me into her room so we can chat. "Hey tee"
"Hey charity, how are you settling in" "fine it's just..." I look down and stop talking, "what's wrong charity" "nothing it's just Electra, she's kinda aggressive" "don't worry she's always like that" she says kind of reassuring me that everything will be fine.

Sorry that it is such a small chapter but there will be longer ones I promise xx
