"mark, are you good?", saehyun asked in english. "yeah. i am, actually," he responded with a somewhat surprised tone, making the female chuckle. he sounded a lot better than the two previous days. "thanks to miya," saehyun raised her brows at the eldest. mark was going to deny her statement, but that would be lying, so... he nodded with a shy smile instead, "yeah.."

"mark, it's showing," saehyun's smile grew. "what?? what's showing?", mark's round eyes widened. "your crush," she said in a soft manner. there was a long pause as mark didn't know how to reply. he shook his head, "i don't know what you're talking about." "sure. but you better get rid of that blush before the others come out for breakfast," saehyun pursed her lips.

two hours later...

"xuxi!", mark greeted his friend with a bro hug. "eyy, man!!", yukhei's voice pretty much boomed within the room. the others, hearing yukhei's voice, came out to say hi.

after everyone said hello to yukhei, some went back to doing their own things whilst the others stayed in the living area with the '99 liners. the ones that remained were chunhua and the whole '00 line.

"how's it going??", yukhei asked the others. "fine," chunhua smiled a sweet one. "ah, nice! great!", he responded. "how 'bout you? what brings you here?", saehyun asked, curious as to why yukhei visited. "mark invited me," yukhei cackled. "oh," saehyun laughed along, "he was just sick, though." yukhei looked to mark with a taken aback expression– but exaggerated.

"you didn't tell me?! eyy, you should rest!!", yukhei scolded mark. "i did rest!", mark laughed a bit. "rest more!!", yukhei added, making mark laugh a lot, resulting in a small coughing fit. "oh, oh my god! i'm going back home. you need to rest," yukhei joked, pretending to get up from his seat. "i'm fine!", mark barely yelled, careful with his throat.

another two hours later...

"right, how was the party?? i heard you guys were at hwall– is it hwall? whatever– his party??", yukhei looked to the '00 liners. hyunjoon's parties were that good. you would've thought that no upperclassmen, also known as college and/or university students, would have had zero interest in them but really, they thought hyunjoon had mad talent for throwing parties. that good, word about his parties got around almost everywhere in the area.

"it was fun!", jeno answered first. "it was really fun," jaemin pursed his lips and nodded, earning an unnecessarily suspicious glance from saehyun. she shook it off before saying, "we actually have pictures and a couple videos. wanna see?" "oh, yeah, show him! i look amazing in those," donghyuk readied himself for compliments.

in chenle's room...

"do you really think so?", jihae took a long look at her sketch as chenle's fresh words were being processed in her head. "of course!", chenle wrapped an arm around her shoulders, brought her closer for a quick peck on her cheek. jihae smiled brightly at the action, feeling a light blush creep onto her face, "thanks."

they decided to eat some fresh fruit and hang out in chenle's room. they wanted to do art together that summer, so might as well do even a third of the plan. this was doing art together. chenle was trying to do his own kind of art but the fruits tempted him about ninety nine percent of the time, meaning he barely made any progress. he resorted to doodles and scribbles– jihae called them abstract so he'd be more motivated. he was convinced anyways and took her advice to 'keep them minimalistic' so they 'still were aesthetic'.

jihae's sketch was one hundred and one percent inspired by chenle. it was a rather realistic kind of sketch. it was her second of the art style. her first realistic sketch was still, of chenle, but that one took her about two days. she learned a lot just working on that one artwork, she knew what to do as she worked on her second. she got sentimental as she sketched– perhaps that's why she seemed ten times more focused than usual. she was going to miss the boy.

in the evening...

jihae and chenle decided to head out as jihae was craving for a specific type of ice cream. they invited the others but only jaemin, saehyun, and jisung came along. they figured they wanted ice cream as well. specifically, dippin' dots.

as they were walking, saehyun was just casually rubbing her hands together when she blurted out, "my hands are so soft." jihae stopped in her tracks, leading the others to do the same. she turned to the older female and asked, "can i feel?" saehyun put both her hands out and jihae started feeling one of her palms, jisung feeling the other. chenle and jaemin joined in as if it was the most normal thing ever.

"they are really soft!", jihae nodded as she stopped, then she started feeling her own. "are mine soft??", chenle stopped touching saehyun's palm and started wondering, asking jihae. they started talking to each other, jisung still feeling one of saehyun's palms lightly. "they're not that soft," jaemin told saehyun, putting his hand back down to his side. "what?? feel again, jaem, feel again," saehyun was confident in how soft her hands usually were and she was not going to have jaemin disagree with her point. that was where jisung stopped paying attention to saehyun's palms and joined jihae & chenle's observations of each other's hands and how soft they were.

jaemin took saehyun's offer and lightly touched her palm before slipping his fingers through hers and intertwining them together. saehyun unconsciously held his hand back before she could even realize the situation, and jaemin swung their hands back & forth. saehyun didn't know how to take that and froze for a moment, not letting go but instead, hoping the others didn't see. the two only let go of each other's hands when the other three actually started paying attention to them again. they didn't seem to notice the little move jaemin pulled, so jaemin only kept a broad smile on his face and saehyun, an unnoticeable blush.

"thank god, it's already dark out," saehyun mentally thanked the heavens for her blush went unnoticed... by most. jaemin totally could tell. he didn't brag about it, though. it was good he wasn't cocky all the time.

meanwhile, at the dorm...

the ones that chose to stay decided to have a dance party– which pathetically didn't go as hoped. it was only donghyuk, miya, and renjun that were actually partying– and renjun was doing it on & off, not consistent at all.

donghyuk and miya were kinda getting down to psy's new face. donghyuk knew the chorus' choreography and he started going all out until he accidentally hit miya on the head. everyone reacted, shocked, including miya– but donghyuk immediately turned to miya with his shocked expression and slowly pulled her into a comforting hug. he had his hand on her head, where he had accidentally hit her and rubbed it a little, peeking at her to see if she was okay. "i'm sorry, oh my gosh..", he peeked at her again and she just nodded against his chest, signaling she was okay.

"i know this is bad but...", jeno started. "these pictures are so cute," renjun shamelessly continued. both donghyuk & miya pulled away from each other to look at renjun with faces that said two things; one, "unbelievable"– and two, "i wanna fucking murder you". renjun only laughed mischievously, "can't wait to show the others."
