Light and Dark ~ 2/2 First Year ~ Book 2

~ Part 13 ~ (Middle of Ending of First Year)

I went to the pull up bars and got ready. I looked up at it and jumped. I did 20 pull ups and 10 chin ups. I got off and wiped my hands. My face was sweaty, my hands were hurting, sweat was coming down my face, and I was breathing hard trying to catch air. My lungs were burning and I felt like I was dying. I took a few small breaths and drank out of my water bottle. I didn't give up though. I went back other and did some more pull ups and chin ups. I did 40 pull ups and 20 chin ups. "Rosie, are you alright?" Someone asked me from the other side.

I didn't listen. I kept doing some more pull ups. I got off finally and looked at my hands. They were blistered and really red. I tried calming my breathing but I dropped to the ground exhausted. My chest was going up and down fast trying to get air and I closed my eyes. "Rosie, dropped!" Someone said and ran over to me. They started blowing air on me but it wasn't working. "What happened?" Ashley asked coming in and running over. "She fell to the ground exhausted." Kyle said. I was still trying to breath, sweating, and hurting. 

"Noah, take her to the nurse." Ashley said and Noah picked me up bridal style. We walked out of the classroom and headed to the nurse's office. "Nurse Powell!" Noah said when we went inside. "What's wrong, Noah?" Nurse Powell asked when she saw him. "It's Rosie. She's sweating a lot, trying to breathe, and coughing a lot." Noah said to her. "Put her on the bed where the curtain is." Nurse Powell said and he brought me over. He put me down on the bed and got back up. Nurse Powell wetted a cloth, folded it to a rectangle, and put it on my forehead. She poured some cold water on me and I shivered. "Calm down." She said and when she was done, she looked at me. 

"What class is Harry in?" She asked at her desk. "Room 210." I replied and she picked up the phone. She dialed the numbers 2-1-0 and put the phone against her ear. "Hi Mrs Daniels, this is Nurse Powell, can I please have Harry Hook come down to the Nurse's office? Someone is in here and I need him." She said. "Alright thanks." She said and put the phone down. "He's coming so just wait." She said and I nodded. I was still trying to breath, still sweating, and still coughing hard. I closed my eyes and I put my hand over the cloth. Harry came in and closed the door. "You needed me?" He asked. "Yes, Rosie is over there laying down and I need you to stay with her for a little bit." Nurse Powell said. He put his stuff down and came over to the bed where I was at.

"Rose, I'm here." He said and I opened my eyes. "What happened?" He asked Nurse Powell. "Noah came in saying that she was sweating, trying to breathe, and coughing hard." She said and he grabbed my hand. "Don't worry, I'm here now." Harry said. "Thanks for coming." I croaked as I whispered. "I'll always be here if you need something, Love." He said and kissed my forehead. "I brought her inhaler." Nurse Powell said and gave it to Harry. He helped me sit up and I puffed two puffs into my mouth. "I got you." He said.
