Alyssa’s POV
Brooke drove down the long bumpy road, on the last stop of our school pickup. The white Kia Sorento quickly pulled up into her short driveway.
“Someone text Carlie and tell her we are here.” Brooke impatiently said, tapping on the steering wheel.
“I will.” I replied, quickly sending her a text.

Hey we are outside!

I’m not feeling very well…

It’s the last FRICKEN day of school. You are coming.

No, I’m still not going.
“Guys, she is being stubborn, I’m going in to get her.” I stated, hopping out of the car and scurrying to the front door.
I didn’t even bother to knock, the door was unlocked. I flew down the steps to her bedroom. I pushed her door open to see her on the bed watching Netflix.
She was all ready to go too! Her natural blonde curls flowed past her shoulders. She wore a white lace skater dress with her favorite Sperry’s. Her makeup was on point. She’s defiantely isn’t sick.
“Come on, let’s go! We are all waiting for you!” I urged, walking closer to her.
“I don’t want to…” She trailed off, looking at the wall, “Everything reminds me of him…”
“Please, do it for us. It won’t be the same without you.” I pleaded, grabbing her arm and making her stand.
“Fine, I’ll go.” She said, quickly dashing up the stairs.
I quickly checked my outfit in their round mirror by the door.
My hair was in it’s natural blonde waves going to almost my belly button. I wore a floral romper with a white crochet cardigan over it. To top it off, I had on some tan strappy sandals.
I’m glad I got Carlie to come. She has missed more than half of the school days this past month. But, you know what the funny thing is? She isn’t failing any of her classes.

It sucked that we had a full day of school. But we always did end early. Always the last week in May to be specific.
Our High School wants us out of here so bad, we even graduated early last weekend.
A whole mob of seniors gathered by the door to wait for the bell to ring.

“SCHOOL”S OUT!” The football players screamed, pushing everyone out of the room.
I quickly walked to our usual meet up spot, by Brooke’s locker.
The girls were chatting away but someone was missing.
“Guys, where is Savannah?” I asked, as I got over to them.
“Not sure…” Lydia said, looking down the now empty hallway.
“Sorry guys! I had to pee.” Savannah shouted, speed walking down the hall.
We all started bursting into laughter as we walked out of the school.

“Can you believe it. We just graduated high school.” Lydia said, as we all glided into Savannah’s jacuzzi.
“It seems like we all just met yesterday in fifth grade.” I added to the conversation.
“I’m glad it’s fucking over.” Savannah bluntly says.
“Way to ruin the mood, Sav.” Carlie says, slightly splashing her.
Soon enough we are all splashing each other, laughter filling the air. The jacuzzi was like an ocean.
“Guys! Stop, we are going to splash ALL of the water out of the hot tub.” She demanded, somewhat laughing.
Soon enough, we all jumped out and went into her house.

Just like tradition, we spend pretty much all night watching chick flicks. Like Mean Girls, White Chicks, The Notebook, and the list goes on.
“Guys this might be the last sleepover ever.” Lydia stated, getting emotional.
“No. We will hang out this summer,” I insisted, snuggling into my blankets.
This is starting the secret circle. It’s where you can’t lie and you can share what’s really bothering you.
“Savannah, you go first.” Brooke suggested, as we all propped up on our elbows.
“I’m so excited for college! Stanford is like my dream! I’ll miss you guys so much! Promise we will all FaceTime?” She said exciedly.
“Promise!” We all shouted, giggling a bit.
The circle went on until it finally got to the last person, Brooke.
“Well, it hasn’t really been bothering me but I just didn’t know how to tell you guys.” She started but I cut her off.
“You are pregnant!” I gasped, receiving a little push from Brooke.
“What! No!” She defended, going back to her story.
“Well my aunt, has a beach house in Florida, but she doesn’t live there in the summer. She goes to Mexico instead. So, she doesn’t want the house unattended. She asked me to watch the house for her the whole summer. I was the only one who hasn’t watched the house and now I’m older. She said I could invite friends.” She said, happily.
“You guys want to go to Florida for the summer?”
