                                                                       CHAPTER TWO

“I can’t believe this is actually happening!” I shout aloud from the dressing room trying on clothes, finding an outfit for tonight.

“I know, it’s..pretty cool, “ says Lydia.

I can hear some concern in her voice. Walking out of the dressing room with what I had on, I look straight at her, as she sits, picking at some piece of clothing, avoiding to look straight at me. Sitting aside her, “What’s wrong, Lydia?” She didn’t answer me, her green eyes just remained on the clothes, on the floor. I can tell she was hiding something, after four years of being best friends, you pretty much know everything that there is to know about them, and you still love them for it.

“Lydia, what is it?” I ask again trying to get her to look at me.

“Aren’t you scared?” She asks now facing me with tears in her eyes.

“Scared of what?” I ask her scanning her face, trying not to cry myself. I hate seeing people upset, I tend to cry along with them when they start to.

“Scared of..that man..the one that keeps taking girls like you and me, and are never heard of, or-or seen of ever again.” She says with such fear, as if she knows she’s next.

I then look away from her, avoiding to cry as well. Letting out a big sigh. “Lydia. Of course I’m scared, I’m utterly terrified and REALLY trying not to think about it.” Hearing her sniffle, I continue, “But we can’t let that psycho control our lives, and don’t worry, I’ll be by your side the entire time.” Giving her a slight, comforting smile.

“You’re right, thanks Linds. We’re gonna have tonight, aren’t we?” She says smiling at me. She was cheering up. My smile grew bigger when those words were released from her strawberry lips.

“Are you kidding?! We’re gonna meet DEMI LOVATO! This night will be unforgettable!” I say with over excitement, squeezing her with a big hug.

We laugh off our serious conversation and get back to shopping for the perfect outfits to wear.

Nervously messing with my brown highlighted hair I stay sitting looking out the window at the view of the arena from the outside. It looked beautiful at night, I always see it everyday when I’m in the car but this time it looked different, almost like a hollywood arena, music was blaring from the building, lights of different colors can be seen from the high and wide windows, it looked like a fun club and I was invited. I loved it. I then suddenly hear a knock on the window, I get somewhat startled.

“Hey, Lindsey! Come on!” yells Connor from the outside with Lydia.

“Coming!” I yell, hugging my parents goodbye. “Bye Mom, bye dad, we’ll text you when it’s over.” I tell them as I walk out the car door.

“Love you guys! Be safe,” shouts my mom from the passenger seat as we all walk away heading to the entrance. I look back at them and smile at my mom, mouthing thank you as I continue walking. Holding Lydia’s hand with Connor at our side we enter through the doors as soon as the guy at the door, confirms takes our tickets. I suddenly get a clear listen of the music and the exact song that’s playing, it’s Classic by MKTO. This arena was far different than the ones I’ve been to, the stage was down in the pit and on the floors above was where everyone was socializing along with tables filled with snacks and a bar where you can get drinks, non alcoholic, of course. This was a club for kids 18 and under on regular nights but tonight it was also a concert stage. Chairs were slowly starting to fill, on a big screen to the side shows the time schedule and it said that Demi was appearing in 30 minutes and the meet greet following it. A feeling was hovering inside me, I was beaming at what my eyes were taking in, Why have I never known that this was a club? This is what you miss out on when your parents are so protective.
