It had been such a long time since she last felt it. That burning passion that promised to sear away reality and transform her into something else entirely, something more primal in nature. The darkness threatened to overwhelm her, and she would gladly welcome it if it meant she could feel that way again. If she could simply feel that animalistic desire he seemed to awaken within her. Yes, he was the one she had been waiting for. And his name was none other than Riddick.

Intro: Names

A fiery redhead stood at the end of a rather long line to board the transport ship known as the Hunter-Gratzne. It was a decently built ship, for coach, and it would have to do. Said scarlet haired woman lazily shifted the shoulder-satchel before suddenly colliding with a young teenage girl.

The girl had short cropped brown hair, and petrified hazel eyes, along with a rather pale and scrawny frame. Before the woman, who was barely two inches taller than the younger female, even had a chance to open her mouth a guard appeared out of nowhere. He was obviously in his mid-forties, and pissed. He roughly grabbed the teenager by her arm and yanked her away from the darker skinned woman.

"What's the meaning of this?" The woman demanded suddenly, surprising the man as she icy blue eyes seemed to cut into his murky brown ones. He stuttered before quickly regaining his posture and jamming a finger in the younger girl's face.

"Do you know this brat? He was caught trying to sneak his way onto a transport ship without adult supervision!" Hazel eyes met blue in a pleading manner before the bloody haired woman glared at the man before her. Something primal in her told her to defend the child, and she wasn't one to defy her instincts. At least not anymore.

"Excuse me, but my name is Naahlynne Neveah. In truth that child is supposed to be under my care. He left to go relieve himself and I suppose he got the ships mixed up in his effort to find me." Naahlynne held her shoulders back and forced out an aura of power. The man stumbled to reply, but she had already returned her attention to the child. "Jack, I told you to come straight back to my side. How will your Aunt feel when she learns I let you wander of?" She scolded the teen, who quickly caught on.

"I'm sorry! I thought you had already gotten on board and I was looking for you! I didn't mean to get on the wrong ship, honest!" The girl, 'Jack', played along surprisingly well. She was a great actress, with plenty of potential. The guard watched the exchange with a careful eye, and then suddenly he felt really calm. It was almost as if everything was right in the galaxy. He turned to say his goodbye when he noticed something odd. He could've sworn the woman's eyes were blue before, now they were an emerald green color.

When she fully turned her gaze on him once more he was met with the instinctual urge to flee. Something inside him was screaming at him to run, to hide from this woman. He found this feeling odd; the woman was beautiful, almost breathtakingly so. Her curves were full and definite, yet obviously natural in their own beauty. The color of her skin was like warm honey, but her eyes were supposed to be blue! Eyes don’t just change color, and he knew they were blue before. That internal alarm started ringing again, and finally he gave in; leaving without another word.

Naahlynne watched the guard disappear in the movement of the crowd before she ushered ‘Jack’ into line in front of her. The younger girl obeyed without a moment of hesitation, and considering how much primal rage Naahlynne had just directed at the guard she found that quite strange. It was apparent the girl had sensed her powers, but she didn’t seem the least bit bothered by it. The thought allowed a small smile to slip onto her face. It had been a long time since someone had volunteered to be in her company, even as indirectly as the girl had.

“So, you got a nickname, or do I really have to call you Naahlynne?” The teen turned back towards the older woman just in time to see the small smile as it slowly faded. ‘Jack’ then looked the redhead over for the first time. The woman was wearing a pair of tight black pants that seemed to be made of some kind of semi-organic material, an army green wife-beater, knee-high combat boots, an a huge dark grey trench coat that seemed to sweep along the floor. Ignoring the totally awesome chunky and maroon red belt on her hips, you could also see what appeared to be a thick cord-like coil that wrapped around her left leg and was tucked into the according boot.

“You can call me Nahl.” The woman watched as the girl’s eyes wandered over her frame, and she repaid the look in kind. ‘Jack’ was dressed in usual slum wear: all grays and browns. Which lead Nahl to believe she was a run-away. “So, am I supposed to keep calling you Jack or do you have a real name?” she asked in a similar manner to how the girl did. The brunette seemed to think it over for a minute before replying with a wide smile.

“I can be anyone right? I like ‘Jack’ better anyway. ‘Marie’ never really seemed to suit me.” Jack moved forward in line by ten paces, offering Nahl a smile over her shoulder again. Nahl acknowledged this with a nod before gripping the strap of her bag and adjusting it on her shoulder again.

“Jack it is then. Prepare you ticket, and I know you have one.” Nahl smiled slyly before gesturing towards the attendant at the gate of the transport. Jack grinned cheekily before flashing her ticket in a shove of how right Nahl was. The redhead smirked, and it was just then that Jack noticed her eyes had returned to their previous blue color. Hazel eyes widened in amazement before her attention was redirected towards the attendant trying to verify her ticket.

The attendant had her blonde hair cut short in a sort of crew cut, and her eyes were a pale blue. In Jack’s mind they were like a pale imitation of Nahl’s mysterious eyes. The woman’s name was Carolyn Fry, but she didn’t bother to introduce herself. What was the point anyway? They were all going to be in cryo-stasis anyway. She led the pair to their designated chambers, which were ironically only a few feet away from one another.

Jack quickly jumped into her cryo-chamber so Fry could lock her in, and Nahl put her bag in the space compartment below where her feet would go. As she climbed into the chamber she notice the chamber across from her seemed to be some sort of maximum-security chamber. She briefly wondered what someone would have to do to end up in one of those, and then she remembered an old friend. ‘It wouldn’t be so hard to land in one of those, at least not in this day and age.’

Fry quickly secured her in the cryo-stasis chamber before heading back out to do the same for the remainder of the passengers waiting to board. As the cryo-sleep attempted to take hold Nahl sighed and relaxed against the cool metal insides of the chamber. Maybe she would be able to get in some actual sleep this time around.
