it started out small, todoroki hadn't recognized it, but it was there. feelings for midoriya.

when school started, todoroki hated his new class. they were loud and seemed to not actually care for becoming pro heroes. of course, he himself had gotten into u.a. by recommendation, unlike his classmates. at the time he had thought of himself superior, even when he only used half of his power.

midoriya seemed to be the center of attention, even though he was careless using his quirk. todoroki hated this boy, but found himself interested in everything he did. he kept telling himself he hated him, no matter how awkward and adorable he saw him. when put into situations with midoriya, he was always cold towards the boy, but for what? that he didn't know.

up until the u.a. sports festival, todoroki kept up the same attitude towards midoriya. he planned on crushing the boy, no matter the risk. after all, he hated him.

at least, that's what he planned. he still beat the boy, but only because of what he had said to him.

after his fight with the boy, he begins to realize that to be a true hero, he needs to give it his all. after midoriya pointed out how his fire power is not his father but his own, todoroki began to use his fire power again.

todoroki began warming up to the boy after this. still not realizing his inner feelings, he began getting close to midoriya. and now they're close friends, but is that what they want?

"todoroki-kun!"

the red and white haired boy turned quickly to find himself facing a  green-haired boy running towards him.

"oh, midoriya, what is it?" he softly questions, admiring the looks of the boy while running.

"i- uh, i wanted to know if you'd like to go home with me." the green haired boy questioned, stopping respectively close to the other.

"midoriya. we live in dorms now. we live together in a way."

"o-oh yeah! sorry todoroki-kun, i forgot for a moment! i just wanted to hang out with you." the boy said in a panic, blushing hard and looking away as he finished.

this statement caused todoroki to become a bushing mess. why would he say something like that so casually?

"it's alright midoriya-kun, you can relax." todoroki said unsure if he could himself. what if he feels the same? no. he couldn't, i mean he has ochaco-chan.

"are you doing anything today then?" the freckled younger asked, hoping for the answer he desired.

"oh, no. i planned to maybe go on a walk and study, but id rather hang out with you." shit did i give away my feelings? did he notice?

"okay! you're such a great friend todoroki!" the younger said, beginning to walk towards the dorms knowing the other would follow.

yeah... friend. todoroki thought to himself as he followed.

when the boys got to midoriya's dorm, todoroki felt more awkward than ever. what if i do something weird? what if i slip up? but his thoughts were interrupted by the others voice.
