The night passed in a buzz like the city lights of New York. My stomach churned as my alarm ripped through my sleep. I felt like I was too sleep-deprived to move, but that wouldn't make my mum let me take a day off school. I slumped out of my bed and groaned as I slipped my dress on. The cool winter air bit at my toes, forcing me to put socks on. The rain outside drizzled along my window.
I put my jacket on and grabbed my bag then made my way down to the kitchen.
I couldn't smell anything, as usual, nothing was being prepared, or eaten. I sliced some bread and strangled it in butter, just how I liked it. Mum was out at work already, trying to avoid the ongoing morning traffic, and my older sister was still in bed obviously trying to be late for school.
Before I could sidetrack myself I trudged outside and walked to my bus stop, trying to ignore the rain. Peter and Chloe were there as usual and greeted me as I sat down on the freezing seat. I look out to the road and see no moving vehicles, great.
*********
Twenty three minutes have passed and there has been literally no movement in the traffic in front of us.
I feel entirely sorry for whoever is on the bus right now. When there is traffic our bus driver literally explodes and screams at everyone for no bloody reason at all! Oh, and to top it off, it's raining, the trip is going to be splendid.
It's like my so-called-friend Jaelyn.
Jaelyn, how do I put this, well let me simply say that she is the girl at school who is selfish and thinks that everyone adores her. She only thinks this crap because her father is a very "sensational" business kinda guy. He is on top of technically EVERY SINGLE COMPANY! It's insane cause now Jaelyn thinks she is on top of the world and that everyone is her own personal slaves.
So you get the point? Good, now stay on my side, and whatever happens, I repeat, WHATEVER happens, do. Not. Fall. For. Jaelyn's. Stupid. Tricks.
