My parents always told me to stay away from boys like him but what can I say? It's hard to resist.

-----------------------------------

I pulled the covers over my face. I didn't feel like getting up today. I could hear my mother's feet stomping towards my door. She flung the door open and switched on the lights.

"Hmmmmm" I moaned as she pulled away the covers.

"You can't be late for the first day of school Willow. Now get up"

"I think I'm sick" *cough* *cough*. I tried to sound convincing but I don't think she bought it.

She walked over to me and pulled me up.

"Quit lying Will. You're fine and you know it."

"Ugh. Why does school have to be so EARLY"

"Because. Now get you lazy bum up."

She walked out of my room loudly so I could get ready. I already had my outfit picked out; a nice pair of jean shorts, a nice purple sweater, and a cute pair of converse. After about 20 minutes of staring at myself in the mirror, I walked out of my room fiddling with my hair. Mom already had breakfast on the table for me when I walked in. From the looks of it, she's in one of her happy moods. Probably because I'll be out of her hair all week.

"I don't want to goo"

"Too bad. Now sit and eat. Aren't you excited!? It's your FIRST DAY!" The way she said first day made me want to run away more than I wanted to originally. Most kids are excited and happy to see their friends but I didn't have any. Well besides Aubrey. I don't really count her. She gets annoying.

Once breakfast was stuffed in my stomach, I packed up my bag and was ready to go.

Before I left to start walking to school, my mother kissed my forehead and gave me a squeeze.

"Have fun"

"TOTALLY"

Then I left.
