falling for you

chapter two

"you should've seen this person, jupiter. she looked so pretty." maddie said. maddie and jupiter were sitting at a table eating breakfast while maddie talked her friends ear off about a stranger she bumped into. jupiter giggled before taking a bite of her cinnamon toast. "i didn't even get to ask her for her name, because i was so amazed by her."

"you should ask her then if you see her again."

"i doubt i will, she could be anywhere by now." maddie sulked, resting her head on her hand.

not too long after, a girl with dirty blonde hair walked into the room. "are you two going back to the ground today?" she asked the two girls sitting down at the table. they both nodded, looking at her. "can i join you guys?"

"sure." jupiter said with a soft smile.

after breakfast, the three girls went back down to the ground and decided to go to the park. as soon as they reached the ground, jupiter sneakingly walked away.

"so how was it yesterday? any signs of demons?" the dirty blonde haired girl asked.

"nope, all clear, emmy." maddie smiled softly.

the girl supposedly named emmy and maddie sat down at a bench, but as soon as they did, they heard a fart like noise and their eyes went wide. they heard a giggle come out from behind them. they both automatically knew who made it sound like they farted.

"jupiter, i'm going to kill you." maddie said to the giggling girl behind her without even looking at her.

the black haired girl couldn't stop giggling, gripping her stomach as it started to hurt from laughing so hard.
emmy giggled quietly to herself as she looked back at her friend that was currently having a laughing fit. soon enough, jupiter had calmed down and wiped away the tears that slipped from her eyes. she walked around in front of the girls and sat down in between them. after a few minutes of silence, jupiter decided to tease the girls about what just happened.

"wow, you two didn't even excuse yourselves." jupiter said with a slight smirk on her lips, trying hard not to laugh.

maddie grumbled and looked at jupiter with an annoyed look on her face. jupiter did nothing but continue to smirk at the girl with a light chuckle escaping her lips. out of nowhere though, they went wide eyed as they felt a presence behind them, but as soon as they turned around, they saw that no one was there and the presence was gone. they turned back around and tried to forget about what just happened.

"why don't we go to the zoo?" emmy suggested, trying to change the subject. the other two girls nodded slowly and stood up.

after they got to the zoo and payed for their tickets, they all started smiling widely as they looked around. "let's go to the red pandas first!" jupiter suggested, smiling big and standing on her tippy toes, hopping the other two would agree. they did and giggled softly at their friend who was acting so childish. jupiter was first to led them they way, as if she knew exactly where the creatures where located; which she did since she's been here a billion times to come see the adorable creatures.

once they approached the red pandas, jupiter started giggling and staring at the animals happily, as if it was her first time seeing the fluffy red creatures. maddie and emmy walked up next to her and smiled widely at the soft looking creatures before them. they all awed at the red pandas that were currently playing around. emmy tapped her black-haired friend and pointed at the creature that was eating bamboo alone.

"if i could, i would eat bamboo with it." jupiter said as she stared at the lonesome red panda. emmy giggled as she looked at her friend in awe of her love for the fluffy creatures, before she felt an uneasy feeling in her stomach. she quickly turned around to see a black figure running away from them. emmy wanted to chase them down, but she couldn't leave her friends behind, so she decided to just ignore them for now.

"they were so adorable!" jupiter gushed over the red pandas as they walked away from the zoo. maddie and emmy giggled at their friend who was still starstruck over the creatures. jupiter's playful attitude soon cut short as she also started to get an uneasy feeling in her stomach from the presence they felt earlier. but since her skills were a little more advanced than the other two girls, she could tell exactly where the person was. so she sneakingly walked away from the girls as she followed the black figure quietly.

she quickly caught up with the person as they led her to a dark ally way, far from where her friends where. she knew exactly why though; so she couldn't call for back up. she stood in front of the black figure, but to her dismay, she couldn't see who the person was or what the even looked like because of the lack of light in the slim, messy ally way. the black figure started walking towards her. jupiter stood still, letting the person walk towards her. the figure started laughing maniacally, sounding amused by the situation. the laugh made jupiter's blood turn cold and sent a shiver down her spine.

"miss me?"
