Prologue

My life hasn't always been the greatest. But I supposed I can't complain. Some people have it a lot worse than I do.

My name is Abby. All my life I've loved in the same town in my home state of Georgia. I'm a senior in high school and everything was going great.

Until I got into some trouble at school.  Its kinda like that Will Smith show. He got into a fight and his mom sent him off to live with his aunt and uncle?

Yeah that's the story of my life. Yes I got into a fight at school. But I was protecting my little sister.

Anyway it's really complicated and I'd rather not talk about it. But back to the story.

So I got expelled from school and my parents lost it. They sent me to live with my Aunt Matilda and Uncle Jason in La Push Washington.

I haven't been to this place in years. My Uncle is in the army so most of the time it's just my aunt and cousin.

Don't get me wrong I love them and all it's just I'm not thrilled about moving. This is my senior year and I don't even get to graduate with my friends.

It sucks ass but there's nothing I can do about it. But what probably sucks the most is I'm having to move up there 3 months before school starts.

I guess that'll be a good time to catch up on my reading. I don't know what to do cuz I only know my aunt and cousin.

But looking back at it now I never could have prepared myself for the events that would take place that summer. Really that whole 2 years.

I met and made some new friends here but I also met someone very special.

I never really believed in line at first sight. But when I laid eyes on him everything changed.

It's like my whole world changed in that one moment. All the wrong in the world faded away into nothing.
