No one thinks about
How we go through most
Of our lives waiting
And quitting.
We sit down
In a small waiting room.
We're expecting something,
But we're enraged when there's nothing.
So then we quit
And we no longer try
Or wait for anything.
We just feel the sting.
We pout in a corner,
Back to waiting for
Someone to comfort us,
But no one does.
Then we quit again,
And we say, "Let everyone
Know how much I loved them."
And send ourselves to our doom.
We always quit
Because it's human
Nature, and we-
We are human down to the tee.
