Hailey was always picked on, and made fun of. She thought no one liked or loved her, not even her family.
Whenever she went to sleep she dreamed that she had a perfect family and perfect boyfriend. She never wanted to wake up. One day when Hailey gave herself her insulin. She had an idea. If she dropped her sugar low enough she could go into a coma, and sleep forever.
She gave herself just enough insulin to go into a coma. When she was induced, she got to be happy. But she didn't know how many people actually cared. She had dozens of flowers delivered to her a day. Especially by Harvey, her crush. It turned out the day she out herself into a coma was the day he called to ask her out.
He sat by her bed everyday and read and talked to her. She heard him in her dreams. She couldn't help but feel so stupid. She wished she could undo it. She couldn't through.
She woke up 6 years later. Harvey had a wife and kids. And her parents died in a car accident. She was more alone than before.
