From Tweek's point of view--mostly:
9:00pm. The sun has been down for two hours now. I think it's dark enough now and my parents they're asleep--maybe. I wish I had a better way of knowing if the coast was clear.
'Oh Craig,' I think to myself, 'I should be used to getting in trouble by now.'
I look out my window. There is a thin layer of snow on the ground and the street lights are just dim enough to make out any figures under them. A light powder is beginning to fall.
'Okay, if I leave now the snow will cover my tracks and if I avoid the street lamps then I should be undetected.'
I grab my phone and check to see if I have any missed messages. Nothing. I slid my phone into my pocket and quickly and quietly slip out of the house. I shut the front door with extra care as I glance up to my parents bedroom. The lights are off. I walk very slowly to the edge of my doorway and stare up at my room.
'My jacket,' I forgot my jacket. I don't want to risk waking up my family by trying to sneak back in, and though its snowing, I don't really mind the cold. I like the way the cold makes me feel numb. I feel calmer. I start walking down the street towards Starks Pond. Most of the lights in all the homes I see are off. I feel my nose and the tips of my fingers beginning to freeze.
'Craig is going to be so mad at me.'
I check my phone again at the end of the block. Still nothing. At the end of my block is my parents coffee shop. I should have brought my keys, then at least I could pour myself a cup of coffee to keep myself warm. I can see the towns only playground ahead of me. There is about five street lamps that surround the playground. I wish we could just meet there but we would get caught there. Not necessarily because its bright, because it's too close to both of our houses; especially Craig's. In fact, from Craig's parents back bedroom window you can see the entire playground. That must have been great for his parents when Craig was younger. They could just let him play outside and watch him in the cozy of their bedroom. I see the houses that are parallel with the playground. None of their lights are on. I know that if I quickly cut through the playground I can get to Starks Pond faster.
I jot across the street without breaking eye contact with the back of Craig's house. Just outside the light from one of the lamps surrounding the playground I pause in my tracks and glance back down my street. Clear and calm. I reconnect my glaze with Craig's parents window. Still black. Feeling safe to carry on, I trot swiftly through the playground. Trying not to break contact with the window I forget to look ahead of me---Clash! "Ah shit!" I blurt aloud!
'Ah shit, shit, shit!' I repeat in my head!My clumsy self tumbled over a trashcan. In one motion, I leave the trashcan knocked over and dart out of the playground and pause at one of the bus stops in our town closest to the playground. It's still fairly quiet outside and I don't think anyone saw me.
