As I stood behind my father and his men I looked around the area. The brick walls were wet from the rain before, the bare trees dropped the last few bits of rain clinging onto its branches that once had many leaves growing from it.

My attention snapped towards my fathers laugh "You had six months to pay back the money and yet you still haven't got it for us.." he rubbed his chin as the man fell onto his knees

"Please, it's been hard getting the money I just need another week. Please!" He shook his hands pleading for more time "I almost have it a-" my father cut him off by yelling

"Almost isn't good enough!" He pointed a gun to the mans head as he sobbed "Please! He needs this school!" Who was 'he' ?

I jumped as the gun went off and the man fell backwardS "Let's go" My father came my way as his men followed. I looked back at the body with no expression on my face "Nice knowing y-" "Rose!" My fathers voice boomed from the car as I rushed towards it

-In the car-
"What did I tell you about staying behind?" My father grabbed some wine as poured it into the glass. "If I stay behind I'll get caught.." I mumbled staring out the tinted black window "Correct- look at me when I speak to you Rosaline!" He hissed and I slumped back into the seat and looked at my father across from me

"You make my job so hard.." he takes a sip from the wine and I smirked "You call this a job? Killing people just because they're late on payment?!" I lean forward as father glared at me slowly lowering his glass "One day you'll take my position Rosaline and then you'll understand how important this job is" I crossed my arms and leaned back

"He's right Rosie" my twin brother Neo said while playing on his phone "Why does Neo stay in the car!?" I pointed at him and he looked offended

"I'm too innocent for that stuff!"
"You being innocent is like dad being a good person"
"Dad is a good person Rosie, you're just too dumb to see. His job pays for our shitty education" he rolls his eyes going back to his game and I clench my fists

"I should've left you both at the hospital.." Dad rubs his temple grabbing the glass again and I snicker "Never too late to get rid of-" "ROSE" he shouts making Neo drop his phone

I sighed staying quiet for the rest of the car ride to the house.

-HOME-

''JANE!'' My father yelled as Jake took our coats and hung them up and announced dinner will be ready in half an hour. Jane our maid ran out from the garden and bowed ''Mr. Lyer, Rosaline, Neo'' Father waved his hand gesturing her to stop ''Any updates on Julianne?'' My father asked and Jane nodded ''Yes sir, she has started her treatment today. They said you can visit in a week'' She smiles slightly and father tutted ''A damn week huh? Tell that hospital I want to see her as soon as possible! NOT in a week'' Jane nodded and ran off to the house phone

Father turned to us ''Neo I believe the men have set up your new TV'' Neo grinned and ran up to his room, as I made my way to the stairs my father called me back ''Rosaline, Jane has put your uniform on your bed. Do not try get rid of it this time you are going to that damn school! I didn't pay $10k for nothing'' I turned to my father and smiled innocently ''Yes father, understood father.'' As I made my way up the stairs I mocked my father silently and walked into my room. I stared at the new guns my father shipped out to us and I looked at my uniform ''Fucking rich pricks'' I spat and looked out the window

I sat on the window seat and sighed ''Two more weeks and then I'll be having to kill innocent people'' I whisper putting my head back as a tear escaped ''Mom why did you have to marry a monster?!'' I screamed at the window.

-The day after-

I woke up to light entering my room. Jane opened my blinds ''Wake up Rosie! Your father won't be happy if you showed up late to school'' She got my bag ready as I sat up ''Well father can suck my as-'' Jane turned around ''Rosie!'' I opened my eyes more at Jane whisper-shouting at me. I smiled as she shook her head ''Your father expects you downstairs in 15 minutes'' She left my room and I yawned and grabbed my uniform putting it on me.

Jane is like my motherly figure while mom is away. Ever since me and Neo were born she had always taken care of me while mother was busy with work and dad was busy killing people.

I brushed my hair and threw it up into a ponytail. I put on my socks and shoes and walked downstairs with my bag throwing it on the chair beside the stairs. Father looked up from him fixing his suit ''Rosaline, one of my men Kenny will drive you and Neo to school. If I even get a text from your school saying you're doing some shit I'm sending you back to Miss Lucy's Boarding School, understand?'' He looks at me sternly and I nod ''Yeah, sure'' I walk into the kitchen and sit at the island as my breakfast was placed in front of me I looked up and saw Neo eating cereal while playing his game

I rolled my eyes and began eating my pancakes.

-At school-

As I stepped out of the car and waved goodbye to Kenny I hear a girl scream ''ROSALINE!'' I looked and saw my best friend Valen waving both her hands in the air. I smirked and walked over to her ''You're back! Again.. after you got expelled three times..'' She smiles as I curtsied ''Here in the flesh and bone baby'' I crossed my arms ''How was Allie anyways? Was her nose that fucked up?'' I asked quietly and Valen nodded quickly ''She had to get a new nose! Out of all things to hit her with you chose a brick'' She shook her head as we walked into the school ''I was thinking a car but I'm not allowed to start my business until 2 weeks'' I mumbled as she nodded, understanding. As we stopped at my locker I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned and saw three glaring girls. Allie Bronson, Eliza Jones and Piper Hanley

''Who let you back here?!'' Allie pointed at me and I hit her hand away ''The same people who expelled me?'' I had a 'The fuck type of question is that you dumb fuck?' face on me. Allie breathed slowly ''They let murderers kids back here. I should-'' I kicked her in the leg ''If my dad is a murderer how come he got your dad fired and jailed?'' I whispered in her ear as she had fear in her eyes

''How did you-'' She stood up straight. I rolled my eyes ''Dumb bitch, you think I don't know shit? Run off before I break your neck next'' I hiss as she quickly ran off, I turned back to my locker and opened it, grabbing my stuff. I look at Valen as she looked at me disapprovingly ''I don't CARE if she's your step-sister Valen, I will kill her'' I slammed my locker and walked to our first class, Valen jogged behind me.

''I know- Hey, any updates about the.. thing?'' She whispered and I sighed ''Yeah, he's enrolling here to keep an eye on his future wife'' I gagged and Valen frowned ''Arranged marriage.. '' She fixed her glasses and I nod ''Even better. His dad is best friends with my dad meaning he also kills.'' I muttered as she looked at me ''And he wouldn't let you say no?'' She asked referring to my dad ''Yup, I haven't even seen the asshole yet and we're getting married after graduation. Fucking fuck ass!'' I felt myself getting more angry.

Valen rubbed my arm and I looked up, seeing her blush. I looked behind me and saw her staring at Neo ''Still got a crush on my brother?'' I grinned looking at her ''Yeah.. but he's got Piper on his dick'' She grabbed her bag strap tighter ''I'll make him fall for you Val. Who can resist a girl with brains and booty?'' She slapped my arm and sighed ''Your brother it seems'' We laughed as the teacher opened the door and we walked in and sat down.

The teacher Ms. Hardy smiled and welcomed me back. I smiled back and sat beside Valen and watched as the other students walked in.

''Welcome back class for another day of school, and welcome back Rosaline, now-'' I heard a shout from the back of the class ''AYE ROSAAA'' I looked back and saw my gay friend Josh ''Oh- hello'' I waved and Ms. Hardy coughed ''Anyways, we have a new male student joining us today'' She opened the door and in walked a tall boy with curly dark blue hair. I recognized him from Neo talking about him. I widened my eyes
