Author note: If you are a Harry Potter fan then you might like to read this since it is based on Harry Potter but in the next 3 generations ahead so most things might be different but some times there is a excuse.
Helen was lying asleep on her bed when she suddenly woke up to an ear piercing screech . Helen was a normal 11 year old girl with streaming brown hair who usually wore worn jeans because she went horse riding. When she gained full self control she mustered all her strength to look out of her window, which was slightly ajar. There, sitting on a branch, was a beautiful snowy owl with an unusual letter in its beak. Gracefully it flew onto the window ledge and dropped the letter in Helen's lap. As none of her family were awake she read the letter to herself, quietly muttering the words while stroking the beautiful owl's silky head. The letter said,
I, Albus Severus Potter hereby announce you are a witch. If you do not believe me then think back. Have you done something you cannot explain like making bad things happen to people you really hate? Anyway back to the point, you are a witch and you need to be able to control your powers or you will be in great danger to yourself and other people, so we ask you to come to our school, Hogwarts school of witch craft and wizardry. Our list of things you need are attached. You will need to be on the Hogwarts express at 11:00 on the 1st of September platform 9 and 3/4. You will get there by running at the wall in between the signs 9 and 10 at King's Cross Station. Shopping list: Defence against the Dark Arts Grade 1, Magical Plants and Fungi grade 1, Magical Animals grade 1, Book of Charms volume 1 and Potions for Beginners. Next you will need a wand and a pet if you like, but it has to be a rat, a toad a cat or an owl. You will also need a pewter size one cauldron, some scales, a telescope and some Hogwarts robes. Make sure you bring some wizard money to buy the daily prophet or something for potions. By the way Snowy the owl is yours but you can take another pet if you want.
Albus Severus Potter
Helen was so aghast that she just sat on her bed until her mum shouted,"Darling, don't you want your breakfast?" When Helen recovered from the shock, she trudged down stairs and went to the dinner table looking dazed." What's the matter sweetie?" Enquired Dad " You look like you've been smashed round the head with a mallet." Instead of speaking Helen just gave him the letter to read as Mum peeked round Dad's shoulder. Just at that moment Aleah came storming into the room, nose high, eyes ahead. She was tall thin with a snappy way of talking, her hair was blonde and bristly."" Where is my breakfast and why are you huddled around a strip of paper while I go hungry?" snapped Aleah. Helen's Dad quickly explained about her letter but the snappy mouthed Aleah argued," Witches are freaks and you can read that any time but right now I am hungry!" Mum just pointed to a plate with toast on it without looking at her and Aleah muttered something about how people are so rude and spoilt apart from her and her friends. Then a majestic owl soared through the window - it was Snowy, and then at that exact moment Helen's parents started celebrating as Snowy dropped yet another letter into Helen's lap. At this point Helen had not spoken yet but this time she read it out loud: "Augusta will be picking you and your parents up to show you where to get your equipment for school." Then there was a knock on the door and Helen went to answer it and in strode a unmistakeable witch!
