Love and Confusion

I woke up this morning feeling better than I have ever had. And it was all because of Harry. His eyes, his smile, his curls, the way his dimples show up when he laughs, how by just holding me he can make me feel safe, and how I can see that he truly does love me.

I pulled up to Liam's drive way, honked, and waited for him to come out. When he did and got in my car, I saw that he was texting with this huge grin on his face. I pulled out and started to make my way to the school. "Hey, sorry I couldn't take you home yesterday." I said and from the corner of my eye I saw Liam look up from his phone. "'Oh, it's okay, Louis gave me a ride. But you never skip school before, what did you do?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. " Well, um, I hung out with Harry." I wasn't going to tell him everything. He won't believe me and plus it's a secret between me and Harry. "Harry...? Oh! The new kid? Why?" I forgot that Liam hasn't met him yet. " 'Cause we got on really weel his first day and after yesterday, I guess you can say, he's my boyfriend now." Well part of it was the truth. He didn't officially ask me to be his boyfriend but we sort of are in a relationship, right? I heard Liam gasp, "What?! Boyfriend!? Why didn't you call or text me last night?!" I laughed at how girly he sounded. "Sorry, I was still shock by it all." "Well, I guess I can forgive you. But I still have to check out this Harry kid and see if he's right for my little Nialler." he said as he looked back down at his phone and started to text again. "You can at lunch today. Now, hows it goin with your sexting buddy?" I remember when he talked about his "mall friend" guessing it was the person he was texting. "He is not my "sexting buddy" stop calling him that. His name is Andy and we're dating now. And I'm really happy." I pulled into the schools parking lot. Me and Liam got out of my run down car and made our way to the school building. "I'd like to meet Andy sometime soon. And Liam, please be careful, I know how you are with relationships. Don't let him hurt you." Liam was the type that trusts a person with all his heart really quickly and some would take advantage of that, remembering some of his past relationships. I don't want to see my best friend get hurt. "Dont worry Niall, Andy will never hurt me." he smiled, reassuring me.

I made my way into English and noticed that Harry wasn't there yet, maybe he's running late. As the bell rang and students to rush into class, there was still no sign of Harry. Of course, the teacher was running late again. Suddenly my phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled it out and the screen had an unknown number on ot. I clicked and read the message.

"sorry I'm not at school today. Something came up and I have to take care of it" -Harry xx

"aww that's okay. But skipping school two days in a row? And how did you get my number?" -Niall

"I'm emancipated so I don't have to go to school. I only go cause you're there :) and magic? ;)" -Harry xx

I blushed as I read the message. I started to reply back, "lucky. And ha ha" -Niall

"well I gotta go babe, don't miss me too much ;) -Harry xx

My heart actually fluttered when he called me babe. "too late, I already miss you :(" -Niall

"you'll see me soon. Bye, I love you -Harry xx

"bye I love you too :)" -Niall

As I pressed send, I realized that was the first time I said I love you and I did through a text. Not how I hoped it would be. I made a promise to myself, when I see him the first thing I'll do is tell him I love him. I saved his number in my, Harry<3, and slid it back into my pocket just in time as the teacher started to walk into class. Today is going to be a long day without him.

It was lunch time which means food and a couple more classes till this day is over. I was in the lunch line and it was turn to pay. I brought my backpack to the side to get my money out but I noticed that my bag was oddly fatter than it was this morning. I opened it to see that it was filled with red roses. I was confused, how did all these roses get in my bag? The lunch lady cleard her throat and had an impatient look on her face. "Oh sorry." I said as I got my money out front one of the smaller pockets. I payed for my food, went to my table, and waited for my friends to show up. When I sat down, i looked through my bag. I dug around the roses and found a note, "Something to show my love for you while I'm not by your side - Love Harry " I'm pretty sure my smile took up half my face and my cheeks were redder than the roses. I put the note in my pocket and zipped up my bag just as the boys came and sat down. "Hey Niall." Zayn said as he sat next to me on my right. "Woah, Niall, your face is really red!" Louis said, sitting across from me. Liam sat on the other side of me and laughed, "Probably has something to do with Harry, right?" my smile grew bigger just by hearing his name. "Harry? Whats it got to do with him?" Zayn asked while bringing his soda up to take a sip. "Well, little Nialler got a boyfriend and it's Harry." Liam had a smirk as he noticed my cheeks getting red again. Zayn started to choke on his soda and Louis practically yelled, "A Boyfriend?!" "Yes, now shh, you're too loud!" I tried to quiet him down, I don't really like to cause to much attention. "Sorry, but when did this happen?" "Yesterday." "Oh, so that's why you left school." Now Louis had a smirk on his face. "Well, I'm happy for you, Niall. Finally got yourself a boyfriend." Zayn said while he patted my back and I gave him a smile in return. "By the way, where is Harry?" Liam asked as he took a bite of his food. "he's not here. He had to do something." Liam nodded in response and turned back to his food.

Louis clapped his hands together so all our attention was on him, "So guys, I'm throwing a party tomorrow night!" he had a huge smile on his face "it's gonna be fun and maybe we can shake up Harry a little." I rolled my eyes but laughed. "Sounds good, I'm in." Zayn said. "Me too." I said, more time to spend with Harry I thought. "Me too! And I'll invite Andy and you can all meet him." Liam whipped out his phone and started texting Andy, I guess. I looked up to see that Louis was now frowning as he said, "Uh, yeah great." but it was quickly gone with his usual smile, "I'm excited, I can't wait!"

It was now eight at night and my mom decided she wanted to go out for diner. So me and my mom walked up to the restaurants door right when someone walked out. I was surprised and happy to see that was Harry but he showed no emotion. I smiled and right when I was about to say hi a girl came out and linked arms with him. My smile immediately fell. She was slightly shorter than me, long black flowing hair, shiny gray eyes, perfect pale skin, and plump pink lips. She was beautiful but she had this smug look on her face that made her look ugly. "Uhm, hey Niall." I turned my attention back to Harry. He was looking everywhere but me. "Hey." you can clearly hear my anger and confusion in my voice. "Come on Harry. We should get going now." the said in a sickly sweet tone. As they walked passed me, me and the mystery girl made eye contact and she had this evil smile on her face. Once they were gone my mom asked, "Was that one of your friends from school? Him and that girl make a cute couple." "Mhmm." Was all I could say. I looked down to the ground, was that girl and why was she with Harry? Are they together? But doesn't he love me? Doesn't he know that I love him? I was so confused and I could feel my heart slowly shattering into little pieces.
