One year ago now you asked me out
Your actions were light, just like a dancer
I was hesitant and scared, with many a doubt
But I came to my senses and gave you my answer
Things were good, happy and fine
Then they got messy, agitating and hard
It took us a while but it's clear now you're mine
It's better but still, I know we're both scarred
Home life is hell and online is broken
But there's one thing I know that is for certain
It's that you're still here, just as you've spoken
Even though it's hard and our future uncertain
Just one more thing I want to tell my boo
It's just that I really, really love you ❤️
