C H A P T E R 1

Dee's POV:
Today is the first day back to school after the summer. Summer isn't my favorite, its too hot and everyone wants you to come to a pool party or a party in general. I'm not the biggest party-er. i only go to parties if my friends are there. Dani and Venom. My best friends. They are more social with the Angels than I am. Dani runs the bar at the "edge" club, i guess you'd call it a club. Its just a place where we all hang out and where the older Angels drink. (but we all know the younger members do too, secretly) We're all hanging out here before we go to school. Venom always plays pool with some other younger Angel and me and Dani chill and watch them play. There's this one Angel that's around mine and my friends age. He was always very interesting to me. He has raven black hair and hes very tall, like really fucking tall. I think his name is Jake? Jack? I don't know it starts with a "J". But hanging out all together was fun. I've never really talked to him though.

Jack's POV:

Me and Venom were playing pool together, and I was kicking his ass. But I felt like I was being stared at. I look up after my play not even looking at where the balls went to see a beautiful girl looking at me from the bar. I knew she was one of Venom's friends but I didnt say anything...until he caught me. "Don't even think about it JT. I would kill you if you even laid a finger on her. I know how you are with girls. You get what you want and dump them. You are NOT doing that to her, shes WAAAAAY too nice." he said scolding me. "What the hell Ven!? I just looked at the girl!" I said a little frustrated. " I know J but I know how you can get I'm just trying to protect my friend." He said. "from your BEST friend!!" I said now angry. "Yeah JT, even you." he looked at me knowing i was now angry. "fine." I siad. It was my turn, i play my play and get all the balls in. " I won." I say throwing the pool stick on the table. I walk away and pass by the head Angel himself. He has so many names its hard to keep up with all of them. I call him MW. It stood for his real name, which was Mark Williams. He's a good guy and a good leader. I leave the Edge, get on my bike, and head to school a little early.

Dee's POV:

I watch the raven haired boy storm off after having a what seemed like heated convo with Venom. As he walks away I see my dad in the crowd of Angels conversing with each other. "Hey Dad." i say as he walks up to me and my friends. "Hey MW." Dani and Ven say. My Dad smiles and says. "hey guys, aren't you guys supposed to be at school?" I look at my friends and they look at me. We all forgot. We grab our bags and we run out of the edge. "Bye Dad! Love you!" I yell to my dad as I leave. " Bye Be careful!!" he says back. We all got on our bikes and rushed to school.
