Chapter 1

"Yeah, it's pretty clear, I ain't no size two

But I can shake it, shake it

Like I'm supposed to do

Cause I got that boom boom that all the boys chase

And all the right junk in all the right places!" I sang into my pencil as I worked on my geometry homework. Gahh I love this song!

"I see the magazines workin' that Photoshop

We know that shit ain't real

C'mon now, make it stop," Mac, my best friend, sang into his pen. His brown hair flopping as he swung his head around.

"If you got beauty beauty, just raise 'em up

Cause every inch of you is perfect

From the bottom to the top," we sang together, laughing. My music shut off and instead my ringtone blasted.

I bounced over and pulled my phone off the dock. I hit the green button and held it up to my ear.

"Hello, you're on with Lea," I said into the speaker.

"Hi, Lea. This is Doctor Manor, your brothers doctor," my heart instantly sank. "I'm calling to confirm your meeting tomorrow at noon?" Oh thank the heavens. I hate doctor calls, they scare the fucking shit out of me. Every time I can't help but think something terrible has happend.

"Um, yes. I will be there," I told him.

"Great, see you then." And with that he hung up, and I sighed.

"You alright, Lea?" Mac asked concerned.

"Yeah, just stuff with Zach's doctor. They were calling to confirm the meeting tomorrow," I heaved a sigh again. I sat down on my plush bed, and he sat next to me.

"Want me to come?" He asked.

"You don't have to, but if you want you can," I told him.

"What time is it at?"

"Noon," I answered.

"Okay, so we'll grab lunch then head over." He concluded and I bobbed my head up and down. He must've noticed the upset look in my eyes, because he softly elbowed me in the shoulder. "Wanna play COD?"

I shook my head, no. "I have to finish this," I told him and he frowned sadly.

"Ok, well my mom wants me home and I have to get milk from the store. I love you, darling," He said standing up to hug me. Trust me there is no, and I mean NO romantic meaning behind his words. We tried to date once, but it was just awkward, and ended as quick as it started.

"I love you too," I whispered. "See you tomorrow?" He nodded and kissed my head.

"He will get better, Lea. I promise," He told me.

Once he had left I went to lay down, but it only took a few seconds before Macy ran into my room.

"Leeeyaaah!" She screamed/laughed. "I - I want," she said doing that baby talk stuff that toddlers do.

"Use you words Macy. What do you want," I asked my little sister, while smiling.

"Yummies!" She gigled and did this hand thing that looked like she was grabbing the air. It was like her international sign for food, she wants food. What a surprise, this girl could eat for days on end.
