Going to the fair as a family was always fun. My dad, mom and I would go every summer and have so much fun. We lived in a nice suburban area with great neighbors and a beautiful garden out back. I was always hanging out with friends and always making new ones. My life was amazing, but let me tell you a secret-

that story is bull.

I never had a family. I never met my formally mom, and I had an idiot of a dad. No seriously. If he wasn't managing this hole-in-the-wall motel, then he was sitting, passed out on the couch. And to my udder surprise, a beer in his hand. He was never a drunkard and never really got drunk. He just always had a beer. Sometimes left unopened.

We lived right above the office of the motel, with one of those papier-mâché kind of walls to give me "privacy." To be honest, I've probably spent all 15 years of my existence in that motel. Where else could I go in this town.

Well, there are a few good spots. For one, the new skatepark that opened up a year ago. Already graffitied, but pretty decent. Then there was Mal's general store. Mal was a cool guy and let the stoners hang out back. Not that he knew about it, but he hadn't seemed to notice.

And then the people. I met new people everyday who were just trying to find the cheapest budget motel.

Coming from what you would call a "rough past", I'm doing pretty good. After all-

I'm a mother freaking flower.

a/n~ short chapter because i plan on easing you guys into this. only because it's soon gonna hit a plot twist sooner than billy andrews was denied by gilbert- his love.
