It was the winter of 2007.Edmund was coming from the school. The weather was snowy so all the street was full of snow and the depth of snow was about 40-50 cm like every winter.

Edmund wore a black jacket and wrinkled trousers.Actually his trousers were always wrikled because his stepmother doesn't like him so she doesn't look after him too. While Edmund was walking on the street, he was thinking of his real father and mother.Unfortunately he had only one picture of them so he always hides their family photo.Everytime he see the photo, he can't stop his tears falling down from his face.He always think of them and cry every night.

He arrived home and when he was front of the door, he heard his puppy Orion's sound.Orion was barking. The door was locked. While he was unlocking the door, he heard his stepfather Patrick's voice too and Patrick was shouting at Orion.

Edmund opened the door and saw Patrick, he was kicking Orion. Then Edmund got angry, Edmund huged Orion and cried.Patrick said "Hey what are you doing ? He attacked me.This is the last day it is here. You will never bring it in my house. If you bring it, I will kick you out too! ".

Edmund was afraid and he hold Orion and run through his room.In fact it wasn't like a room, there was just his bed and a window, the room was too small to be a room.

Edmund took the chest under his bed and sit on the bed.He opened the chest there was his family's photo and a crystal but he doesn't know what is it.It's his family's escrow. Then he took the photo and looked at the sky.The sky was clear because It had been along time from the snow.He was watching the stars and crying.

He was thinking of his birthday, his birthday was tomorrow and likely no one would remember his birthday. But maybe his father and mother would come in his dream. And he slept and the day had ended.
