I ran towards Yuki, my cell phone in hand, Yuno's katana inches from my neck. Her scream echoed through my ears, I watched Yuki's beautiful eyes dart from side to side as he read the message. Yuno's katana slid under my chin, I knew it was the end.

But it wasn't. Somehow, I moved just enough that I was left with only a small cut on the side of my neck. I looked up from the ground to see her face, engulfed in rage, knife inches from my face. I rolled over dodging her powerful stabs by mere centimeters. I could hear her soft gasps after every attempted attack.

I ran up the broken concrete slabs, my mind rewinding the kiss that Yuki and I shared. I felt butterflies fly from my stomach, up my spine. I could hear the swipes of whatever Yuno was chasing me with glide through the air with a soft swish.

I knew what Deus had told me, and I knew what I had to do. I picked up a piece of broken concrete, I turned around and threw it as hard as I could at Yuno's head. Her knife barely slipping past my neck as the rock flew into her forehead. She fell back, dropped the knife and yelled in intense pain her hands cupped her forehead as blood dripped through the creases of her fingers and hands.

I turned around once more to see Yuki, gun in hand. Blood splattered across his body. I knew what had happened. I knew who he killed.

"Akise, wha-what have you done?!" He yelled at me from meters away.

"I did it to protect you," I said, I knew it sounded like Yuno, but it had to be said "she was dangerous, she would hurt you once she realized you knew about her."

He pointed his gun at me.

"But you killed her!" Tears streamed down his face. Yuno twisted into nothingness behind me.

"Yuki, you don't have to hurt me. There's no point in doing so."

"But I can bring you back! I can bring them all back!"

I was disappointed. He didn't realize he couldn't bring everyone back.
