The hunter had done it. He had bitten Yuki.
Kaname Kuran mentally slapped himself for being so damn foolish. He knew this was inevitable, I mean he's smelled the girls blood flowing within her veins from the very beginning. Her scent was intoxicating, sweet and alluring. You lose yourself all too easily, your vampiric nature threatens to take you over and drain her for you if you don't do it first. So it makes sense that the D grade vampire would succumb to his desires, he was far from a pureblood. What Kaname was is the only reason he could control the beast inside him and preserve the girl's existence.
A disappointed sigh escaped the aristocratic brunette as he made his way through the moonlight of the quiet courtyard, past the fountain and toward the day class boys dorm. He knew he had to do something about this, he should've killed the silver haired prefect before he got the chance to harm anyone. The boy showed little resistance to his inner nature, he tried....Kaname acknowledged that he tried, but he had failed. And now the girl that the two of them cared so deeply for was unconscious in the nurses ward.
He walked swiftly and silently through the dark hallway, the pitch black lighting having no effect on his sharp eyesight, not that it would matter if it did. He could smell the hunter, his scent still mixing with the lingering traces of Yuki's blood. Kaname could feel anger welling up inside him, Zero was to blame, but the pureblood blamed himself more than any other. This ends tonight.
With an otherworldly quiet Kaname opened the prefects door and made his way through the dark room. He could see the boy sitting in the corner, trembling and holding his arms around his own body. Crimson, hungry eyes glinting ever so lightly in the blackness locked onto the pureblood's form.
"W....What are you doing...h-here...Kuran.." Zero's words were broken and struggled, reflecting the inner battle he was fighting. The brunette looked upon him with pity, and a bit of worry...he fed from human blood only the night before...Yuki's blood. And yet here he was, still in need of the thick red substance that sustains their miserable lives. He hadn't had enough, which means he may very well turn into a killer the next time he preys upon an innocent. Kaname knelt next to the trembling boy, determined that the 'next time' will never come."Do you still refuse my offer Kiryu?" Kaname spoke calmly and softly, though Zero could still hear the threat hidden in his voice.
"I told you...I ...don't need it..." The prefect hid his face, not thinking too highly of the pureblood he so truly despised possibly being able to see the weakness in his eyes.
"Look at yourself.. you truly are a pathetic and foolish individual."
This earned a harsh glare from the smaller male, red glowing eyes reflected the most intense anger as his unwanted fangs bared and threatened to rip the pureblood limb from limb."If you came here just to look down on me don't bother!" He got threateningly close the Kaname's face, a daring act. "Get the fuck out!"
His courage was not rewarded, he was gripped harshly around the neck by the now pissed off pureblood and slammed up against the wall. Zero gasped as the air was knocked out of his body and the pain from the frighteningly strong hand currently choking the life from him broke his stubborn mask, showing fear in his still glowing red orbs. The first emotion besides anger that Kaname had ever seen from the hunter.
"This denial does not help anyone Kiryu...look what you have done to Yuki.."
He saw sadness briefly flash into the prefects eyes, another unexpected sight, he clearly had never wanted to hurt her. Or anyone for that matter. What a terrible fate he bore, a vampire hunter turned into the very creature he swore to destroy...hurting the very people he swore to protect.
