Chapter 5

I looked at Niall in disbelief.

"Wait....Girlfriend?" I said in shock

Niall scratched the back of his neck, something that he tends to do when he is nervous. He then spoke.

"Yeah, we have been dating for a year now."

I was speechless, it made the situation even more awkward.

"Um...that's great, I'm happy for you both." I lied taking a gulp of my coffee.

"I was thinking that we all could get together for dinner tonight. Ya know? Me, you, Steph, Mel, and Diana?"

I looked at him like he lost his mind. The words came flowing out of me like stream of water.

"Sure, we can have it at my place." I told him sending him a text message of my address and sending Mel a quick text about the plans.

"Um...I got to go pick out food for Dinner and stuff...yeah." I said getting up and running out the door.

I have never felt so embarrassed in my life.

"Dad? Why do I have to wear this dress?" Diana said tugging on the pink dress she has on

" Because, Mr.Niall, his girlfriend Stephanie, and cousin Mel is coming over for dinner." I state placing the Mac n cheese on the table along with the steak, potatoes, green beans, salad, and corn.

"Mr.Niall is coming?!?" Diana squealed excitedly

"Yes, so go pick up your toys from the living room."

Diana quickly picked up all of her toys that were in the living room with her tiny arms and carried them all upstairs. When she went up stairs the doorbell rung three times, before opening on its own.

"Stephanie Garner I know exactly who that is!" Mel said closing the door.

"What the hell are you talking about?

Mel took me by the arm and dragged me to the living room. She pushed me onto the long couch then sat right next to me.

"Remember the year I move to your school in year nine?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Before went you your school I went to school with her. She was the school slut and and absolute gold digger. We called her Stephanie Get rich quick."

"What kind of name is that?" I said snickering.

"The kind of name if you are a gold digging whore." She said pulling her hair behind ear.

"So when is the bisexual jerk and get rich quick getting here?"

And like magic the doorbell rang, alerting me that they are most likely at the door.

I got up and answered the door.

"Hey Ni....Stephanie" I said mumbling her name while letting them in.

"Hey Haz....how's it going Mel?" Niall said walking in sitting on the couch smiling with Stephanie not far behind.

"It would be better if evil wasn't upon us." She said glaring at Stephanie.

Stephanie replied with a glare back.

"So where's Diana?" Niall asked looking around as if searching for the adorable four year old.

"Who is Diana?" Stephanie asked looking annoyed. Just the the pitter patter of tiny feet was heard from the stairs.

"Niall!!!!!!" Said A tiny Irish voice. The tiny brunette girl ran in and hopped on Niall's lap.

"Hi Diana, how are you?"Niall asked giving her a big hug

"I'm otay....who's that?" She said pointing at Stephanie.

"This is Stephanie my girlfriend."

"Hi Diana...you are so cute." Stephanie said holding her hand.

Diana quickly snatched her Hand away and glared at her.

"I know." Diana said with her voice full of sass.

"Diana that was not nice." I told her crossing my arms.

"You know Ni? Diana kind of looks like-"

"So who's ready for dinner?!" Mel interrupted

After dinner

"That was a good dinner Haz." Niall said smiling at me

"I'm glad you liked it." I told him carrying a little Diana who is asleep in my arms.

Niall gave me a hug and walked out the door.

Stephanie stopped and glared at me before saying the words that will haunt me for a long time.

"I know that Diana is Niall's daughter."
