The reporter grumpily muttered to herself as she climbed through the ruin. She had come to this site to get a scoop on the mysterious yet essential event, but the guards had been about as talkative as a bunch of rocks. She wasn't technically allowed to be poking around the old warehouse, but she didn't mind. If they didn't give her answers, she would find her own!
'Who do they think they are, talking to me like that? You'd think I was a criminal.' she thought sulkily, kicking a scrap of metal to vent her frustration as her hackles began to rise.
She was about to move on, when something caught her eye. Under the scrap there lay a small holochip, gleaming in the dusty light that was filtering through the crumbling roof. She bent down and picked it up. It was in good shape and didn't look like it had been lying there for long. Which could only mean...
Excitedly, she fished her Holograph Projector out of her bag and plugged in the chip. A figure flickered to life in the light cast by the device, and the reporter caught her breath.
'It's him!' She thought eagerly as she recognized the cat's face from the wanted signs.
"Uh, I think we might be good... Yeah, it's recording. So..." The cat in the holograph took a deep breath then continued, "I don't know if anyone will ever see this or if you'll remember who I am when you do, but if you are, either I was an idiot and lost this, or something... something's happened to me, which seems pretty likely at the moment. I'm making this to shed some light on the events that I've been a part of and help straighten out the truth, because I know the Emperor has been twisting my image around and pretty much turning me into the most horrible person ever to walk the worlds... Well, I'm Monstercat and I'm going to tell you my story, all the facts, and hopefully change your minds about me. So, let's start from the beginning..."
