The beach is already full of people hoping to be put on the Baywatch team. I looked around for Brody trying to find him. There he was leaning up against one of the lifeguard towers.
I walked over to him, "Is our deal still on or do you want to back out now?" "It's still on but I will give it to you, you can swim.", his complement sent a shiver down my body. "Thanks, so are you sure their just going to let you on the team? You didn't even try out." "I'm positive. I mean come on, I'm Matt Brody!", I let out a small laugh at how stupid he was.
"Here are the names of the new lifeguard trainees.", Mitch said into a microphone. I was all of a sudden super nervous. "Don't worry, you obviously got in.", Brody whispered in my ear, apparently sensing my nervousness. I smiled at him before turning my attention back to Mitch. "Summer Quinn, Ronnie Greenbaum, Matt Brody, and Luna Cox."
A smile appeared on my face as I looked over at Brody. "YES!", I screamed and wrapped my arms around him. "Oh... um sorry. That's embarrassing.", I pulled away from him the smile not leaving my face.
"It's um... it's fine.", he said scratching the back of his neck. "All if you start tomorrow, be here at 7 am sharp.", Mitch said.
"7!!!! Like in there MORNING!!", Brody yelled. I laughed at him when Mitch walked by and said, "Get used to One Direction. This is Baywatch." Mitch kept walking on past Brody and I, not even caring about Brody's shocked expression.
"So I'll, see you at work tomorrow, I guess.", why was I being so weird! "Um, yeah, see you.", I turned and started to walk back to my house. "Luna wait!", I turned back around to see Brody running up to me. "Would you like to, maybe, go to Joe's with me tonight? My treat.", he asked. "Sure. Meet me here at, lets say, 6?", I said, giving him a big smile. "Yeah, 6 is good. I'll see you later then.", his excitement was written all over his face.
I gave him another big smile before walking back to my house, leaving him on the beach by himself.

It was now around 5:30 and I'm standing in front of my closet mirror holding up two shirts. I finally decide on the red crop top in my right hand. It matched the white shorts I was wearing and was overall super cute.
I let my hair go in it's natural loose curls and headed out the door and walked to the beach. I am so excited for my night with Brody! I wonder if this is a date or just us hanging out.
I got to the spot on the beach where we said to meet and found Brody standing in the exact same spot as before. Okay Luna, don't be awkward and don't say anything stupid. "Hey, ready to go?", I said getting his attention. He looked me up and down, examining my outfit.
"Wow! You look really pretty.", He said when I got up to him. This is starting off amazing! "Thanks. Let's go!", I said starting to walk towards Joe's.
Joe's is a crab shack along the beach. The food there is amazing and it's one of my favorite places to eat. There's even a balcony that has an amazing view of the ocean. It's a beautiful view but you have to have had a reservation for days to get in there.
We finally reach the restaurant and Brody and I walk up to the hostess. "Reservation for Matt Brody.", he told the hostess. "Follow me.", she said leading us to our table. She walked out the double doors leading us out to the balcony and seating us at a table right a long the railing.
"Brody! How the hell did you get seats out here!", I said taking a seat. "I was in the Olympics and I'm very good looking. It was really simple.", I laughed at how stupid his answer was.
We talked for what seemed like a lifetime before our food finally arrived. We both ate and laughed at each other. I finished eating before he did with nothing left on my plate. "Damn girl! You really know how to eat!", I laughed at what he said almost spitting my mouth full of water out. Brody busted out laughing at my attempt to keep all my water inside but failing having to spit it all back in my cup.
Brody finished eating soon after me. I pulled my wallet out of my back pocket and began to pull money out of it. "No, I told you this was my treat. I've got the bill.", he pulled the two twenty's out of my hand and gave the waitress standing at our table two twenty's of his own. The waitress gladly too them and walked away to get his change.
"You didn't have to do that.", I said taking back my money in his hand. "I told you earlier. It's my treat.", a smile was all I gave him.

"So why are you here?", I asked him. We were now walking alongside the beach, the water coming up over our bare feet as we walked.
"Probation. I made some bad choices in Rio and they told me I could either come here or pick up trash on the side of the road.", he said. "So your here because you have to be, not because you want to.", somewhat disappointed in his answer.
"Yeah, but I do really like the people that I've met while I've been here.", a smile reappeared on my face. "It's getting late.", I said in almost a whisper, stopping to look at the sunset. It truly was a beautiful sight. "I'll walk you home.", Brody said before we headed toward my house.
We walked there in silence enjoying the view of the sunset and each other's company. He walked my up to my front door and said, "I'll see you in the morning.", his deep blue eyes looking straight into mine. "Goodnight.", I said before kissing his cheek and walking inside.
I closed the door behind me and leaned up against it, letting out a silent scream in my head.
