Its an exaggeration, obviously. I mean, unless its your mom or dad, chances are you've lived without them before. And let's face it, you could even live without them. Most of us are forced to, once we reach a certain age. But when someone special comes into our life, a big part of us is changed. There is something about us that is made different when that person walks into our lives, and soon we begin to forget that there was ever a time we lived without them, let alone what we were even like before they came along. So, in a sense, we haven't lived without them. Not this part of us anyways. Our physical bodies lived before them, but who we have become hasn't. And when that person leaves, a part of us dies. There's a giant hole dug out of our heart. A hole that used to be filled by them. And the you that you become because of that person hurts without them, because it has to adjust to the lack of that person who has, in a way, become a part of you. So no, we may not die without them, but a part of us is crushed beyond recognition when we lose them.
This is how I feel without you.
