Prologue
“Just because I’m telling you this story doesn’t mean I’m alive at the end of it.”
-Savages, 2012
Sometimes you meet a person that so wholly and so completely changes your life, it’s astounding. It’s almost impossible that suddenly, everything you’ve taught yourself over the years goes out the window and every thought is turned upside down.

However, that one infuriatingly intriguing person can also make your heart beat faster and your blood sizzle with need in that same two minute conversation. Now when you find that one person that can make you feel all of those emotions in 120 seconds, hold on tight.
William Weston is, was, that person for me.
Life throws you curveballs.
I should know that better than anyone. I should know to expect the unexpected, especially when you’re not ready for it. After she died, I wasn’t sure there was anything else in the world that could surprise me. That could bring me back to life.
I was wrong.
My name is Hanna Crest and I’m going to tell you a story.
My story.
Now whether I’m alive at the end of it…
That’s the question you should be asking.
