MADDIE ZIEGLER strutted
down the hallways of pittsburgh high, her heels clicking on the newly cleaned floor every step she took. everyone's eyes were on the brunette beauty, before she arrived at the side of her boyfriend, jack kelly.

"hey jack" she whispered, before pecking his lips, quickly and wrapping her arms around his waist. "hey mads" he says, turning to face the brunette girl, but his eyes were soon drawn to something else. "what is it?" the blue eyed girl asked, furrowing her eyebrows. "her" jack said, eyes still stuck to 'her'. maddie turned around to see a tanned girl, standing outside the principal's office.

"anyway! will i see you after class?" maddie asked, brushing down her plaid skirt and plastering a smile on her face. "yeah, yeah" jack mumbled, looking away from the unidentified brunette and kissing his girlfriend's lips before pulling away.

maddie and jack exchanged goodbyes before they went to find their friends. "maddie! did you see that new girl?" chloe asked, a hint of excitement and a hint of annoyance in her voice. "yes, i did. jack wouldn't keep her eyes off her when i was trying to talk with him" maddie huffed, folding her arms across her chest. "they're not going hookup in the janitor's closet" nia said, placing her hands on her hips. "they are aren't they?" maddie asked, groaning. "nia! why did you say that?" chloe snapped at the brunette. nia stood back from the emotional brunette and angry blonde. "she doesn't look like she belongs here" nia said, tilting her head.

"are you talking about me?" a voice asked. maddie turned to see who it was, even though it was obvious who was standing there. "yes we were. now listen here you dirty whore, jack kelly is my boyfriend — not yours. so stay out of his pants. you hear me?" maddie growled at the girl. "one, i don't even know who that white boy is and two, i'm not interested in boys, i'm gay" the girl said, plastering an obvious fake smile on her face. maddie stood there. "um— great for you?" maddie said, giving a her a thumbs up. "now you can leave!" chloe said, looking the girl up and down in disgust. "gladly" she said, turning to leave as the bell rang.

"gladly" maddie mocked, rolling her eyes before walking with the two girls to their class.

MADDIE took a seat in the second row in the classroom, waiting for the teacher to start the lesson. "hello class!" the teacher, miss franklin said, walking in quickly. "just go to page 563, read the passage and work on the questions, while i take care of this!" miss woods chirped, before leaving the room again.

a few minutes later, miss woods came back in, with the girl she didn't have the best conversation with before. maddie needed to ask the teacher a question so she put up her hand.

oh how she regretted that.

"great! maddie will show you around!" miss woods said, smiling and gesturing the brunette to sit. "miss—" maddie said. miss woods obviously didn't hear the girl so maddie just rolled her eyes, waiting for class to end so she could get the tour over with.

"class dismissed!" miss woods said. the teens cleared the classroom, only the two girls left, sitting in their seats. "shall we get this done?" maddie asked, standing up and walking to the door. "sure" the girl said, getting up and following the other brunette.

"so here is the library" maddie said, pointing into a door. "wait— what's your name? i feel like it would be easier if i knew it" maddie added, it was halfway through the tour and forgot to ask such a simple question. "why would you care? it's not like you like me" she sniggered. "just trying to be friendly. my name's maddie" the blue eyed girl said. "i know. my name's kalani" the brown eyed girl said. "nice name" maddie said, smiling at her. "thanks" kalani said, letting a small smile appear at the corner of her lips. "shoot! i forgot i have to meet my boyfriend. I'll show you around later, i guess" maddie shouted, running to find her boyfriend. "bye!" kalani shouted after the girl.
