Lucas

One boring week passed. Wala namang masyadong ginawa.

I can still remember that boy who tends to be my classmate as well.

I scanned the books in the shelf.

I got what I wanted and headed to the counter.

"That would be 1, 250 pesos, Sir!"

I said thanks and the cashiers started squealing and pushed each other.

I really don't want that kind of things. It annoys me. I'm not interested with anyone.

I stopped walking when I saw someone heading to my direction.

Nakatingin siya diretso sa mata ko. Hindi ako pwedeng magkamali. Siya 'yung tinulungan kong kaklase.

Tsss.

Based on how he look and walk towards my direction, I predicted that he would talk to me. Now, what does he need? Oh, he didn't thanked me yet last time so he's here to thank me .

"Hey!", sigaw niya. I wasn't wrong. Ako nga ang pinunta niya dito.

I just stared at him. No, glared is the perfect word.

"Ako nga pala si Blythe Marquez, your classmate. Remember? 'Yung tinulungan mo nung camping?", he said happily.

"Yes. You're welcome," tipid kong sagot.

I don't need friends.

I was about to go when he shouted my name.

"Lucas!"

What the hell?

I didn't bother to look at him again. I continued walking.

"Hey!"

He's following me.

"Please talk to me. I owe you my life so I need to make up to you. Isang dinner lang! Come on!"

I wore my earphones and walked faster. But he's still talking.

Little did he know...there's no music in my earphones.

"First of all, I know I'm handsome and I don't need to brag anything about my face. Next, I didn't tell you to follow me." I said calmly.

"Ok, chill!"

I am chill. Ano ba kasing kailangan nito?

"What do you need?" I just don't know if this guy was still affected by that venomous snake. He's acting weird.

"Have a dinner with me. Take it as my peace offering. Please?" He said and tried very hard to be cute. That doesn't work on me.

"No," I said and walked away.
