Red woke beside her mother, and tried wriggling her moms tail off of herself. As she did so, she straightened up and blinked away the sleep in her eyes, though it did take more than a few blinks. She picked herself up off her paws in a dizzy way. She felt the tug of air from her mothers tail as it swept around Reds other littermates. Frost was an older shecat, and was pure white with a fluffy silver torso. While her other sister, Talon, which was the second oldest had white fur and thick stripes that were dark russet, looking red. She had black paws that looked like socks as they climbed half way up each of her lower legs. Red was the youngest, and the smallest. She as well looked almost exactly like Talon except that her fur was dark russet and her front legs had white socks, her torso black as well as her ears.
She stretched, her front legs extending in front of her as she arched her back, letting the bones in her spine crack as well as letting her muscles loosen a bit. Once she was done stretching, Frost stirred, waking the lightest sleeper Talon. Reds tail lashed in excitement as she bounced towards Talon.
"Good morning, Talon!" Red chirped, acting casual as she watched Talon slip away from their mother.
When she was well away from Frost and mom, Red lunged into Talon, bowling her onto her side. To Reds surprise, Talon had wrapped her front paws around the back of Reds neck, causing her to fall as well. Red arched her back, jerking her head backward as she attempted to slip it beneath her sisters tight pull. As she did, her sister leaped up and blew a paw into Reds nose, causing her to explode into a sneezing session.
"Sing me a song, Red!" Talon hissed in amusement, plopping into a sitting position as she watched her younger sister, making it obvious that she was stifling a laugh. Red just glared at her, her eyes beginning to water from all of the sneezing that caused her nose to tickle.
She growled in her high-pitched voice and rammed into Talons chest, surprisingly watching Talon splay into the ground and sprawl. Red walked swiftly towards her, then slowed down. She began to strut around her sister, mocking her victory. Talon glared at Red with an accusing stare before she rolled onto her stomach and lifted herself onto her paws. Red raised her voice into a yowl,
"She's recovered! She wont escape! Clan, attack her and dont stop until she gives up!"
Before Talon could react, Red had already half fell half ran into Talon, squashing all of her weight and causing her to sink onto the ground. Red slammed her paws on the upper end of Talon's spine, while cuffing her around the ear. Red mumbled in a threatening voice, wanting to try it, "Do you give up?" Red knew Talon could barely speak because her chin was pressed against the earth.
"Never!" she managed to choke out before Red enfolded her teeth around her sisters ear. She loosened one paw and slid it up Talons scruff, compressing into the back of her head causing her to stifle as she panicked for breath. Red could manage out the words, with a heavy hint of anxiety in her voice.
"Okay, okay! I give up. Alright? Now can you please stop pressing my face into this icky ground before I roll onto my back?"
Red was satisfied with what she wanted to hear and let go of her grips, allowing her sister to recover from the loss of oxygen. "You play so rough, Red!" she gasped, inhaling the air deeply.
A few minutes had passed before Talon had caught her breath, and her voice sounded airy, "You know that mom has never wanted us to be in a Clan, because they're so vicious? The rumors she hears she believes. You wont ever be in a Clan, so why do you bother making up an imaginary one of your own? We're all going to stay with mom, and she will never allow you to even step near any of their borders."
Red felt a bit heartbroken, she had always been interested with Clans. She had been planning to join one when she was old enough, or even try creating her own. Right now she was three moons, while her sisters were five. Red knew that what Talon had said was true, and that she could never even try befriending a kit in the Clans. Her mother was tough, and went by the name Mischief. Her mother was jet black and broad, and her size was incredible. Each of her paws were almost the size of Red, so she had always tried avoiding being stepped on. Reds mother had told her that her father had died when she had been born, which made Red sad because she would always have wanted to meet him for herself.
